hey, i was just wondering how many of you suffered from severe morning sickness? whether it be in the morning or not... I got sick every day right up to the day I delivered... And nothing helped! I was put on diclectin... which didnt help, thank god, because i learned afterward that it can drastically lower birth weight. the day my daughter was born was the last day I puked... until I got pregnant again. This time, I've been getting sick every morning for the past almost month. just wondering how others coped... i tried ginger ale (that just burned when i eventually threw it back up), soda crackers... every trick anyone had ever told me about. the only thing that worked was water, and lots of it, and if i feel nauseas, i have to throw up, or else i'll just feel sick all day.

I am currently pregnant and have been having a horrible time with morning sickness! I have lost 25 lbs and have trouble keeping things down. i am now 16 weeks and it has gotten a little better I am now usually only puking once a day instead of all day! my doctor have put me on several anti nausea meds they did help some, but made me extremely tired, I have 3 kid's at home already and cannnot be tired all day! there is a awesome one if you can get your insurance to cover you it's called Zofran and it works awesome, but most insurance companies don't like to cover it and it is expensive if you have to pay for it! also have you tired the wrist bands for motion sickness? they help with the nausea they won't stop you from throwing up, but do help you feel less sick! Good luck and i hope something works out for you!

i lost 30 lbs in the first trimester due to morning sickness. i survived off of ginger ale and sprite. i found diclectin helped until i was in my 3rd trimester and the morning sickness passed, but only if all i ate was fruits and vegetables and didn't go around any strong smelling foods. i found the only thing that kind of helped were these wheat thin crackers or mints.

gosh i am soo sorry to hear that you been having such a hard time. i am sure you have already looked into it but sometimes diabetes causes you to be sick (though keep in mind urs would be gestational and all but high blood sugars make me sooo sick that all i can do is vomit then take my insulin and 2hrs later feel somewhat better). i never ever had any type of sickness while i was pregnant so i have no idea what you are going through. i wish you the best.

I hear you...i had horrible morning sickness..i had it from the time i got up till i went to bed. It was so bad that they put me in the hospital because no drug would work to stop it. I had really low levels of Zinc and my Iron was really low. Make sure you are getting all the vitimins that you need.

with my oldest I felt sick at night (7pm) and I had insomnia so I'd be up until 4am feeling like I was about to puke. never did though, with my 2nd child (also a boy) I felt nauseous every single day 24hrs a day until he was born...never threw up. with my daughter I felt sick and would throw up all the time. nothing helped it was awful. It actually went away COMPLETELY when I was 14wks. I did find that I threw up when I was overheated. or when I ate too much, or not enough.

anything gingery. not ginger ale tho i got sick on tht to, but like ginger cookies, ginger pills, lemon or lime water, gatorades, drink lots of gatorade. water is good yes but too much is bad, you have to even it out with gatorade bc it replenishes you. also suckers and popcicles

it can be due to low levels of magnesium & zinc so make sure your taking a good quality pre natal vitamin (i no its hard when you cant hol anthing down! ) also make sure you get plenty of sleep. i found chamomile & peppermint tea or lemon & ginger really good and easier to keep down than plain water. also could only tolerate warm stuff not hot or cold. i also saw a homeopath which really helped. there is also accupunture & pressure points in the wrist to help. good luck

hey, i had very bad morning sickness to, with my 1st bubs it was all day everyday even in labour and nothing worked for me, like you i tried everything!! what blood type are you?? my doctor told be that being a negative blood type as i am and having to have anti-D injections might have something to do with it as your body is trying to reject your baby... my 2nd pregnancy was just as bad aswell, i know when im pregnant strait away as the vomiting and starts and does not stop!! its the worst feeling in the world, i could only eat fresh cold food as everything turned my stomach, smells also!! the tablets did not help either, i know that taking folic acid in the morning help a few people i know and you can get an injection to help also.. some days i would try and use the mind over matter and that work help to, i hope that this pregnancy is not as bad for you as having a little one to look after makes it 100 times harder xxxxx
