My 9 month old has been vomiting for almost 3 days off and on. She will go almost 8 hrs without vomiting and then everything comes back up. She will keep pedialyte down but not formula. There is no fever. Anyone ever had a similar problem?

I'd say she probably just has a bug... If she was lactose intolerant it wouldn't just be the last few days. Just keep giving her pedialyte (they make pedialyte popcycles too) and I hope she feels better soon. If it doesn't stop or she gets worse, I'd take her in again...

my nine month old is doing the exact same thing, vomiting and vomiting and not eating much. But we were all sick, with some stomach bug, where we were all vomiting, my husband and I, and our 2 yr old daughter, ending with diarrhea, the poor guy got it all at once tho...we've just been trying to keep him hydrated, and to eat as much as he will. It took us all a couple days to get over it, Cage is only on day 2, so hopefully he will get better soon too, good luck. btw the little green machine is a great spot cleaner, and really gets those puke stains out, ....! gross

We had a similar problem and the doctor told us to try adding some cereal to her formula (1tsp per 4oz) to thicken it. He said it was too thin for her to keep down.
You could also try sitting her up for 30-60 minutes after she eats. That was another suggestion we got.

well there is a nasty nasty stomach virus going around. my 9 month old just got over it. he could only keep down pedialyte and after 4 days of vomitting and loose bowels he is finally feeling better and back to eating. still not back up to his 8 ounces yet though. he did get a nasty virual rash after the the virus cleared up. it was called rosieola which is apparently common.

Id say lactose, my daughter did the same thing, once I put her on soy formula she did good and gained weight. But try the premixed liquid first, its easier on the stomach. You may also want to give her some gas drops in the bottle and dont lay her down for the first 30 minutes after finishing her bottle.

Yeah we went to the doctor and they just had us hydrate her more which is what we had been doing. She was fine till right before bed time and then it all came right back up. So of course, we had to start all over again! They said it's probably just a stomach bug but it just seems so strange that the vomiting is so inconsistant

Maybe she is lactose, I would go to the doctor that must be so horrible for her!
