My nine month old will not drink her water or any diluted juices. What can I do? She will eat ice though, so I'm not sure how to break this habit. She is a great eater, loves her formula,is great with a sippy cup and finger foods but this water problem has me worried. I don't want her growing up wanting soda or any other junk drink.

lol i posted the same question a while back, i am still breastfeeding and my little man refused anything but the breast, he is now 13 months old and has started having water from a bottle in the past month. Your bubba will when she is ready, just keep doing what your doing and try offering it every now and then.

Yep i agree with above even watered down juice is still sugary & no nutritional value. formula is all she needs for hydration :)

I am with Kara. There is NO REASON to give your child anything except breast milk/formula. You can offer a sippy cup with water at meals.
Do NOT - I repeat - do NOT offer juice, even watered down juice! It has NO BENEFIT! and only encourages what you don't want, which is your daughter wanting a "junk" drink.

She doesn't need water, or juice. My little man didn't drink water until he was 13 months old (he's now 15 months) and he just started drinking diluted juice (my 3.5 year old shares her juice with him) All your daughter needs is milk/formula to drink anyways. It's nothing to worry about.
