My son will be 3 in 2 wks.. i started him with potty training a wk ago and its going well but this morning i caught him hiding and he was playing with himself..pulling of it and rubbing it like he was masturbating bc it looked hard. im afraid to embarrass him about it. what can i do...im a single mom living with my parents and his father isn't in the picture. HELP!

Yes totally normal. The fact his hiding and doing it is a good thing he's conscious of privacy. It can be hard to teach some boys this. So that's definately a bonus

Totally normal, my son is almost 4 and discovered himself about a year ago. If he's going somewhere private to inspect himself, then I see no problem. If he does it in an inappropriate place then just tell him it's ok to do, but in private and he can go to his room or the bathroom to do it.
It's also a good opportunity to let him know that only he is allowed to touch his privates. But I think that's all that really needs to be addressed at this point.

Normal... Very normal, it feels good - he's interested. Explain to him we do not do these things in public and send him to his room. No need to panic - he's just learning about himself ;)
