My baby girl is three months old. I think she may be teething, she is always drooling. Is she too young to be teething? How do I know if my baby is teething?

nope she's not too young. my oldest started teething at 3 months and got her first tooth at 4 months but just because she's started teething doesn't mean she'll get them like mine did. she could go on teething for months without any signs of little teeth making their way through.

my daughter had 5 teeth whenever she was 3 months.... some babies just teeth early... my suggestion is plenty of teething toys, teething triscuits by gerber and baby orajel... my daughter even slightly ran a low grade temp while teething so it's always good to have baby tylenol or motrin on hand.... good luck.... :)

She may be teething.. she may just be a drooler.. :)
My brother's son teethed at about 3 months, but so did he when he was a baby.
My son on the other hand only got his first 2 teeth just before his 1st birthday.. I was starting to get worried when he didn't teeth, but he was just late.

Our son is 5 mths old and started teething around then. His dental Hygenist says while most babys start aroun 4-7 mths that theyve seen babies start around 2mths. Remember every baby is different so listen to her she knows herself better then anyone!! My son really liked a cold teether, a vibrating teether, and tehn these Homeopathic Teething drops. Be careful giving a baby that young Orajel because it can numb the back of their throat causing them not to have gag reflex for that time. My son loves the homeopathic drops, and I fele ok giving to him since there is no chemicals in them!

No she's not. My grandaughter started around that time. I thought that it was unusual but she is just fine. Just try not to put her to bed with a bottle and give her a little water before bed to rinse her mouth. This will prevent early tooth decay. That will be the biggest concern.

No hun, not too early, just keep with the bongela, im not sure if you have bongela where you are, but the stuff that numbs their teeth, and pandol for the pain, if youhave panadol too, my daughter had her first 2 teeth by three and a half months old, so it was about 3 months it all started, and yes, excessive drooling is a sign of teething, so is chewing things more than usual, try teething rings as well, you put them in the fridge or freezer, it helps to numb the pain, it helps, it even helps me when ihave tooth pain, so it does work

yea i have the same problem with my son, hes 4months old. they can start early like that because it can take months for the teeth to actually come thru. my duaghter took for ever, she started with bout 4months too but it took her till she was 9months to get her teeth. shes 2 now! but like the other mommys said always have some tylenol and oragel by hand. just to be safe...oh and u can give her teething tablets. they helped a lot with my daughter. they desolve on the tounge.

my 2year when she was only 1 1/2 -2 months when she started drooling like no tomorrow and she would actually cut me when nursing. she didn't end up getting her first tooth till she was almost 7 months old. my youngest is now 7 months and jsut got her 2nd tooth last week. some babies drool from the start and other barely drool. you can always have a dentist check the gumbs and they would know if they actually are teething or it's just the first sing that teeth are on their way.

My daughter popped her first tooth at 3.5 months, so yes it is definitely possible. She is 8 now and already getting her 12 year molars. Once the first one comes they start coming in pretty fast. Good Luck

Not to young both my kids had first tooth by 3 months and the 2nd before they were 4 months! Every child is different though. Babies also have to learn how to swallow their spit also. So they all go through the drooling stage whether or not the teeth are the factor or not. If she is wanting to chew on everything is more than likely is teeth though.

Babies can start showing signs at any age and an easy inexpensive way to help is by filling one of her binkies with water and freezing it. hope it helps:)

babies can also start teething really early and it can last for several months before the first tooth pops out, then again it can take a long time before they start teething and the teeth will pop out easily with no pain or anything... but my youngest child is almost 7 months and she been showing teething signs since about 3 months and still no teeth.. but my middle child... i didnt even notice when his 1st tooth came in all the sudden he just bit my hand one day then i looked in his moth and there was 2 bottom teeth in there.. i was like WOW!

my daughter started at 6 wks and my 6 wk old started 2 weeks ago. i agree wth the Hylands Teething tablets and a little tylenol. it works like a charm. the infants tylenol is going to say "not under 24lbs" but its ok. the dose for 24 lbs is 1.6ml but give him .8 ever 8 hours and 3-4 teething tablets every 3-4 hours.the cool washcloth is the best i have found but be careful in the winter months as they will be cold and we. DO NOT FREEZE teethers, chewing on a frozen teether can cause frostbite on their gums and cause problems later on. orajel sucks.

My little one has been showing teething signs since he was 3 months (he's 5 months now) and we can see the little white bud sitting on his gum since before that. He drools all the time, and "EATS" everything he can...he scratches his gums with anything and everything he can get!

My baby is 4 months and he is always drooling , chewing, and fussy. So I bought him Hylands all natural teething tablets and I dissolve 3 in his mouth and he instantly stops chewing and is no longer fussy..So your baby my be teething...

My daughter started to drool and get a little more fussy around 2 months, but she cut her first 2 teeth at five months...now she is six months and the top two are making their way through. When she was younger and I thought I was going to need a bunch of teething remedies I bought a teething pacifier...but the problem was it was waaayyy too big for such a small baby (she was already born small). Teething rings and other teething toys are great, but when my daughter was 3 months old getting her to grasp the concept to hold onto something by herself was more of a frustration than not giving it to her. Sometimes babies can drool and drool and drool for a long time without cutting their teeth, it is all part of being a baby! Hyland's teething tablets are great...and totally natural and safe...they definitely last longer than orajel. I use the orajel for instant relief just until the teething tablets kick in.

At the yound I used the teething rings then graduated to the hard bread sticks in baby isle he loved them and really helped them cut though. Good luck

Apparently it is common for children 2months + to drewl a lot as THEY CANNOT SWALLOW UNLESS THEY ARE SUCKING. This is a NORMAL part of their development. You will probably also notice your child putting their hands in their mouth a lot too. It is more likely that this is a developmental thing rather than teething. My three month old little girl is the same :D

My son's two bottom teeth broke through at 4 months but he started showing signs of teething at least 6wks before, if not earlier. Now at 5months and 3wks,he's gearing up for the next set which i believe are the top two teeth. The poor thing is drooling non stop...the whole family feels like we're gonna drown in it.

My baby's dr said at that age the increase in saliva is beacuse their body is getting ready to start eating food so digestive enzymes developing etc. If you don't feel any teeth than it might not be teething.
