My baby girl was born deaf, anyone has a deaf child?

I had germin measels when I was 3 months pregnant. My dr told me to get an abortion cause the child might be deaf, blind or downsindrome. Abortion wasnt an option and I went through with the pregnancy, she was born Jan 07, a beautiful and perfect baby. At the age of 9 months we saw that she wasnt reacting to sound and took her to the dr. She is now 2 and a half years old, wearing hearing aids cause shes got a profound hearing loss and has no speech! She goes to therarpy once a week, but for me it doesnt feel like its working. Can anyone help or have any advice? In 2 weeks time they r going to do tests on her to see if she is compatible for the Cholear Implant. Hopefully when shes got that, things might happen!

I am Heard of hearing my mother raise me with three other hearing sibling, can you give me an up date how your daughter is doing? I am a mother of a hearing boy, great little guy, I also run my own day home really successful, hearing loss is not something that hold a person back, its the people around them that holds them back, my mother raise me to accept that I'm half hearing and half deaf, not one or the other in that I'm confident person and enjoy life as it I. It not the easiest life I had many so called professional teacher doctor who said I wouldn't amount up to anything, I prove them wrong.

my son wasnt born deaf but he was born with severe disablilties and a few tumours in his brain, he will never walk or talk, I have 3 children and he is my middle son, I lost my hearing in my right ear after i had the mumps when i was 12, its called sensory neural deafness and unfortunatley for me i cant get the cochlear, I would be quite happy to offer any support i can while you go through this. Your daughter will still lead a beautiful and fulfilling life and i think you will do fine once you adjust to the changes. I'm here if you need some one to talk to
