My baby gotta wear glasses, he's only 11 months old!!

Good evening, I am Jodie, 29 & mummy to the most gorgeous boy called Corey. Corey has been told that he has to wear glasses at only 11 months old :( I was completely upset about this at first but now he has been wearing them for a week I am pretty used to them. He has to wear them to correct a turning in right eye. He very rarely pulls them off and is such a good boy wearing them. Hopefully if we catch it at this young age then he can avoid wearing glasses later on... Was wondering if anyone else's baby has to wear glasses and if you would share your story with me coz I feel Corey is the only 11 month old baby to wear glasses. xxx

When I adopted my son at age 18 months he'd been wearing glasses since he was 10 DAYS old. I still have newspaper article.

Hi my oldest ( b/g twins) are two now, and at 10 months of age my daughter started to wear glasses. She has something similar to your son and is also extremely far sighted. She goes through phases with her glasses, but since she helped pick out the current pairs she is doing much better with them. I have the two year old b/g twins who will be two and a half on the 8th, and a son who will be five months on the 12th. Feel free to message me if you want to talk.

my little boy has an eye appointment on the 8th of dec. because i noticed an involuntary side to side movement of his eyes. I brought this up to his doc and he recommended us to an eye doc. I looked online of what it could be. the result i got was nystagmus. if he has nystagmus like i think he does then he will have to wear glasses and he is only 6 months old

My mothers best friend takes care of her grandaugher who had this problem as well and was in glasses before she could crawl. they had to keep 2-3 pairs at all times because she would take them off and throw them. GL your not alone.

My daughter is 14 months and is getting glasses next week for inward turning eyes. I'm very nervous about her keeping them on.. and the weird looks I'm sure we will get.

My 10 month old son has to start wearing glasses and gets them tomorrow. I am very nervous and would welcome any tips you may have.
