My neice won't sleep.

My 5 week old neice WILL NOT sleep at night. All she does is scream all night long. We've tried holding her, rocking her, feeding, changing, a relaxing bath before bed, Gripe water, gas drops, tylenol, putting her in her bouncy/swing, plus tons more! Driving around worked with all the older kids, but with rising gas prices and crappy weather conditions we don't want to have to do that again. Everyone here is extremely sleep deprived, and frustrated. Please help!

She will sleep during the day, but only if she is held the whole time and it's never for very long. It's not that the other kids wake her up (4 yr old, 3 yr old, 20 month old, 1 yr old), she just seems to wake up screaming all on her own. We've tried swaddling but it doesn't seem to help at all. I went through a similar thing with my daughter when she was a newborn, but for her being held was enough to get her to sleep. And she never seems to eat much at a a time. She always seems hungry but won't eat more than a couple of ounces at a time..I'm sure that's part of the problem at night, but we need to find a way to get her to sleep better so we can sleep.

I went through the same thing with my son. I tried everything u did and nothing worked until i took him to the dr. and she told me my son has colic......i don't know if this will help but look up colic online and maybe thats what she has
