is this normal?
I used to read to him quite a bit when he was very small and then stopped because of what was happening in my life, I had moved a number of times and life got a bit hectic and stressful and I couldn't put as much time into my son as I used to.
now he is on the cusp of his second birthday and I give up when it comes to reading to him, he will try to grab the book off me and flip to any page he wants and doesn't even seem to listen when I read to him, sometimes I will be half way through a story and he will just hop off the bed and run off and do his own thing leaving me reading the book to myself!
I feel really bad about it and do want to read to him but with a cold reception it leaves me feeling like I should just leave him to look at them by himself. I do try to go with what he is doing and point out things on the pages he looks at but he just seems like he would prefer if I wasn't there at all.
is anyone else going through the same thing?!
