Generally babies begin to crawl, or some form of crawling, around 9 months of age. But if you provided plenty of Tummy Time, and your LO has been on target with all of his other milestones, I wouldn’t be too concerned. If you’d like more information on what is expected of baby at what age, check out Pathways Awareness’ AAP-endorsed chart: http://bit.ly/6NUpfi. If you still have concerns, trust your instincts and bring the chart, which you can use as a check-off, to your next doctor visit. Any delays should be discussed sooner rather than later.

Your son probably isn't behind at all ^^ My son didn't bother even trying to crawl until he was 10 months, he just couldn't be bothered. He had been cruising around the furniture since 8 months though. He was started walking on his first birthday and was a champion sprinter by 13 months. Kids will crawl/walk when they are ready :)

i found in my experience that 10 months is about the average age for boys to start crawling. most of all my friends and family who had boys said it was about that age. my son started crawling at 10.5 months and walking by 12 months. my daughter was much faster and started crawling at 7.5 - 8 months and was walking at 10.5 months. all kids are different though.

My son didn't start crawling until he was 10 & 1/2 - 11 months. He just was no interested. As soon as he crawled he pulled himself to standing straight away. He started walking at 13 months.

Every kid is different my daughter is 3 yrs old now but started walking at 6 months.and start crawling at 3months. My other daughter is 1 yrs old and she start walking at 10 months and crawling at 6 months. But that doesn't mean your child is late crawling. Kids have a mind of there own they do things when they are ready so just be patient.

My son started doing a commando crawl around 9 months but didn't do a proper crawl till about 10 months. He started walking all over the place all on his own a week after his first birthday. You've got nothing to worry about.

every baby develops at different stages, my daughter didn't start crawling till she was 10 1/2 months and her Dr. said at her 12month appointment that the average age for walking is 15 months. I think you have nothing to worry about he is not behind

Totally normal! My son is now 15 months and walking like a pro but he didn't crawl till about 10 months and didn't start walking till 14 months. So don't worry he is just fine.

Every baby is so different, he is fine my little girl is 5 months and she is looking like she will be crawling by 6months. She is too active! I liked it when she used to just lay on her mat! My cousins baby only just started to crawl till 12 months. It is important to remember it doesn't mater how quick or slow your baby crawls, walks ect it doesn't effect their development later in life. :)

My daughter didn't start crawling until 11 1/2 months. She was cruzing before crawling. She didn't start walking until 13/14 months. Totally normal, every child has his/her own pace.

every baby is different , they learn at different times and some don't even crawl thye go straight to walking. Also boys tend to be a lot lazier then girls when it comes to milestones.

Well I doubt hes behind.....every child is different.....my son however started walking when he was ten months.....when something like this concerns me...I go to google....Ive heard of kids being 1 and not knowing how to walk yet, so I doubt hes behind...I say as long as your child knows how to sit up and pull him self up theres really nothing to worry about.....like I said kids start at different ages......

I know some kids that skipped crawling altogether!
Have you talked with the pediatrician about it?
