My son just recently started acting crazy. He throws temper tantrums and have screaming fits. He goes into these fits for something as small as me not letting him have any juice. He will scream, hit and get on the floor and kick his feet. He just turned 2 on 3/11. Is this terrible 2's or should I be concerned?

My daughter who will be 2 in April is doing the same thing except she likes to bite things when she is mad.

When my son was 2 he was just like that until he realized when I (or dad) say no it means no. We would put him in the time out corner at first he wouldn't stay and cause a bigger tantrum but eventually he knew that we meant business. The hard thing is to stay strong it may be exhausting at first but its well worth it. He now is 3 and very well behave and polite (for the most part). So good luck hopefully this will help.

Ok Carol, this explains a lot. I was wondering if my niece was just spoiled and bad. But she is 3 and is trying to do the same thing as my son.

I agree ignore him he's doing it for attention. If he's disrupting something put him in his room or somewhere he can't hurt himself away from others. Don't give in and always give him what he wants because then he will believe that bad behavior is what he can do to get what he wants. I've been through this with 4 kids. They all do it, boys more at 2 and girls more at 3.

Probably the terrible twos.. But I was told that when they are throwing a fit to make sure they are in a safe environment and not to be in the same room. I usually send my son to his room when he starts throwin a fit and when he is done he can come back out. It's helped out alot, altho he still throws his fits its not as much. And when we're out in public I can't really send him to his room so I find something to distract him. (Like bringing a snack along so he doesn't start throwing fits.) My son is 2 1/2 so I'm kinda in the same situation as you with the attitude from him. Haha.
