My son is 15 months old too. I ignore every temper tantrum he has. Giving him attention just makes it worse.

Ignore that! As mean as it sounds is the best way to stop it... My son used to do that all the time.

My second child, a boy, had a very bad temper and showed it when he was just 2. At first we thought he was epileptic. Anytime I told him him no or seemed upset he would start crying, turn red in the face and pass out. After all the tests the Dr told us he just had a bad temper and we needed to get control of it now or it could get very bad. He had us throw cold water on him before he could pass out. It only took a couple weeks of it before he finally figured out he did not like the cold water and started controlling his temper.

just ignore him - if he sees that you arent going to pay him attention when he acts like that he will stop

I'm SO right ther with you! My maeby is 16 months and she throws so many tantrums:) Try to be positive. Think of it from a different point of view...for my baby it's "no cookies???" *tatrum* then "oh look a kitty" and the moments over. kinda funny when you think about it:) Or find some thing he loves -dogs-cats-dancing- and tell him "OH LOOK!" it usually gets mine to stop:)

Hahaha I know what you mean. It cute the first time but then wears out pretty quickly.. My 2 year old went through that, when she realised that I wasn't giving in or give her attention she stopped, not completely it still happens every now and then. Even if you are telling them to stop that is giving them attention. What I did was walk away,if i was at home I left her where she was on floor and leave the room. If I was down the shops or out I would put her in the trolley or pram not speaking to her and then mentally shut her out (like males do when they are watching tele and they can't hear you) People do look at you cause you have a screaming child, it can be embarrassing but just ignore them in the long run its better for you. My daughter is good at the shops now even helps me with the shopping by putting the things I hand her into the trolley. Also I would take things off my daughter when she was naughty ie.her blanky or teddy and she would then chuck a tantrum. Over the screaming I told her that when she stopped and talked to me she would then get her blanky or teddy back.... The occasional tantrums now don't last long. Just Remember YOU ARE IN CHARGE. It takes alot of work but i would rather do the work then have my child run my life by getting what they want by throwing a tantrum....Also it might seem tough but you have to start now a baby is always testing to see how far they can push you to get what they want - DON'T GIVE IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I hear ya .. my daughter is only 9 months and she is already throwing tantrums. If she gets something that she is not allowed to have and I take it away or if she doesnt want to eat she thrust herself backwards and screams.
