Mia has such bad nappy rash and it just seems to be getting worse and I do not know what to do...she started with the rash when her teeth started cutting and she had a runny tummy but now it is just getting worse and her care taker just told me her bum is even bleeding...I feel so helpless!

Make sure you air her out between diaper changes. My son used to get bad rashes while teething and we just left him diaperless. Yes, we had to do a few clean ups, but being diaperless and having Desitin really helped us.

Is she wearing the new Huggies Dry Max?

There is a HUGE controversy over those right now.

Either way, get some DESITIN from Walmart. The one in the purple box/tube. It's better than the blue boxed formula.

My daughter had a bad rash when she started teething, we tried vasoline and a baby powder and made a paste to rub on it, then let her lay with out a diaper for a while so it would get some air, I don't think it sped up the healing process, but it gave her some comfort.

Kerry is absolutly right egg white work better than anything i ever tried on my kids and they dont sting or nip the skin just act as a great barrier and stop any fungle infection setting in.

Try a different brand and use corn starch for the rash, especially if it's bleeding. My son got like this before and the only thing that helped was the corn starch. I found the creams didn't stick because of the bleeding.

This can often happen when the teeth start coming through, teething can affect your child more than just in the mouth. My daughter had the very bad nappy rash when she started teething and when I took her to the doctor they gave us thrush cream which cleared it up in no time. If your child has a runny tummy for more than a few days you should always consult your doctor. Hope this helps xx

What type of diaper does she have on? I would try a different type first even if she's been wearing the same brand for a long time. Desitin worked the best for my daughter's diaper rashes. You could also take her to her pediatrician. If cream is not helping it may be a yeast infection and your child's doctor can give you something to clear that up.
