Need advice about a clingy 3 month old baby who cries if anyone but I hold her.

My daughter is 3 months old now, and within the last week has started to cry if anyone but myself or occasionally her father holds her. I'm not too sure what to do. I EBF, and pump bottles so her grandparents can feed her, but she still cries if they hold her for more than 5 minutes. Any advice would be welcome!

my daughter did the same but started bout 2 months she would just scream and wouldnt stop i went go karting for my birthday and my mother in law came with us and was watching her she was blood curdling screaming for an hour till i finished, she is now 9 months and is good now. we just had a few people come around and would pass her to them but i wouldnt let her get upset for long, i know babys go through this stage at 8 to 10 months but i think she went through it very early, good luck and it will pass with time just make sure you have people around her a bit even if they dont hold her just play with toys and talk to her. good luck hope i was some help to you.

let her cry. she has to understand that u r not the only person in her life. i know she is young but this is the best learning time for her. find a babysitter, or leave her with her grandparents for the afternoon. she will learn that there are other pple around her and once she starts getting all the attention directed to her she will love it.

My little girl did exactly the same, we just (in the nicest possible way) ignored her! You need a strong Couple of people who have the patience to ride her screaming out!! I found that after about 10 mins my daughter would forget what she was screaming for and calm down!! She used to love being walked around over omeones shoulder so her daddy or grandma used to do this until she calmed! But i would only expect these two people to do it then she got used to their smells and feel and was also eventually comforted by them too. Its hard work because i know as soon as she screams you will want to just pick her up to soothe her and you can do this, either way she will eventually grow out of it!! Stay Strong and good luck.x

My daughter did the same thing...she would actually start crying if anyone even spoke to her with the intention on picking her up. Luckily she outgrew that stage, she is almost 9 months old now and totally fine. I think just keep letting other people play and pick her up with you being close by, this way she knows you are not leaving her. Good luck and I am sure it will pass.
