I posted something almost the same as this last week but i didn't get much help on the topic. I am almost 20 weeks into my pregnancy and I am having a girl. Just trying to get some ideas on girls names. What are you most favorite girls names?

Not everyone has the same taste in names. I went to several sites, bible names, angels names, baby names, greek and roman gods (and a wide variety af other religious dieties like mayan gods, etc), and even book names and movie names. I also looked through the baby name books. Then I wrote down the pretty names and the meanings next to them, filtered out the ones with lame meanings and narrowed it down to half a dozen names. Then we used the names for a few days each and decided on which ones we liked used and rolled off our tongues. We argued about our son's name even after he was born but the girls were easy to agree on.

We have a son, who's name is Joseph Nicholas! I have had several compliments on that name, because it is "normal" but not common. Some names we had chosen for girls were:

Jocelyn Nichole

Alison Elizabeth

Madigan Elisabeth

Lainey Grace

Hannah Joy

Alana Breeann

Ava Sophia

Layla Shyann

Hadley Reagan

Marley Faith

Lucille Elizabeth (Lulu or Lucy for short, Lucille was my grandma's name, my aunt's middle name, and my middle name)

Johannah Faith

or

Margot Claire

I like traditional names, and I like unusual names. The name you choose needs to be one you like yourself, and have special meaning to you. My son is named for his father and grandfather respectively. I really hope you figure out what's best for you!

I like the name Everleigh, Keiraleigh, Avaleigh. I am naming my soon to be daughter Gemma, like a precious Gem. and still deciding her middle name cause her first and last name will end with an A, so Im being picky about her middle name. There are alot of good ones out there!

I have three girls myself. If I were to have another girl I like Vivian Nicole. Said with the bit of french I have in me, Viv-yan Neecole. I think it's sweet. I like different names as well. For instance I come from a family of odd names like mine. Kisa, my sister Malta and my brother Skai (Sky). Also look at traditionaly boys names Like Morgan or Riley like them both for a girl. Girls are fun to name!

I once cared for a family of 5's children. They children's names were Avi, Hani, Yittzi, Rifka and Ha-ney. The last two are girl hebrew names. Rifka is translated to Rebecca. Haney sounds like honey. I think it's cool to wait till you see your child before you choose a name. You have time, don't rush. Be Blessed, Stacey Clegg

i had a little girl 11 weeks ago and all the way though on the pregnancy i didnt have name as i was convinced i was having another little boy, i had boys names all the way through and wanted a welsh name 4 a boy and a girl found a boys which was going to be owain gareth (after my brother) but no girls name, my fav band is stereophonics which is a welsh band and we ended up calling her Dakota after the name of 1 of their songs it was the closest to welsh name we were gonna get. So her name is Dakota Elin and it really seems to suit her and ive not heard it newhr else either
