Need lots of help!!!! symtoms of teething, what to use, and is baby oralgel was bad to use?

Have you ever heard of baltic amber teething necklaces? It's an amber necklace that baby wears (not to chew on) the properties of the amber work as a natural pain reliever, My DD had a terrible time with her first 2 teeth, then we got her a necvklace and since then she has had no issues at all, she cut 4 molars without me even noticing, and now she has gotten 2 eye teeth (usually the worst) without any fuss at all. She wears hers 24/7 and never messes with it becausee she has worn it since she was 5 months old so it's normal. I even bought a couple of bracelets for me because I liked the look of them, I wore then when my knuckles bothered me and within 20minutes the pain and swelling was gone so I know they work.

they dont want you to use oragel cause if you use too much there is a coaking hazard but i used it an my children are fine just have to use little amounts of it and as for the rubbing eyes, i would let her nurse and then keep her with you for 15-20 mins and then try and put her in bed cause then you know shes out

I have been having the same problem! I tried baby advil one night, as she was really wailing and knawing at everything! But other that that eating seems to be the only thing soothing her right now. She won't take a soother, and I tried the homeopathic teething tablet but they didn't do anything. There's a homeopathic remedy called Camilia that seemed to work, but not as well as feeding. Maybe try giving her a bottle if the nursing is hard? The advil really worked but it's not something I would use often, it can be hard on the stomach. let me know if you find a solution! :)

teething tablets are awesome!! You can also let her chew on a green onion, just cut the roots off and watch her to make sure she doesnt bite chunks off...I know it sounds weird but it works!!! Also the orajel works but it does delay the teeth from cutting through (in my opinion). I used it for a while and I heard that and stopped and within 2 days 4 teeth cut through her gums...Good luck

I have never heard of baby orajel being bad. I have heard of them getting used to it and it not working. If the teeth are visible in the gum then its teething... it can happen at anytime. Children have been known to be born with teeth. Have you tried rubbing them. A cold wet washcloth letting them chew on it. There are lots of home rememdies that are safe to try. Have you tried music nusery songs to drowned them out... they say it calms them and takes their mind off the pain. It's tough but there is hope there will be something that will work for you and them.

My son is 6 months and just started teething a month ago. He's working on his third tooth now! For me, it seems like nothing works. He's always fussy when they are just about to break through. The only thing I have found that remotely works are the teething tablets. He has so much saliva that IF I can get the Oragel on his gums, it's off within minutes. One thing he loved though, which I can't do now because it hurts, is chewing on my CLEAN finger. Lol. Emphasize the clean part. Teething is tough for you and baby, so just remember to be patient and loving. Also my son gets a lot of tummy aches from teething so that might be an issue as well. And for me if he does have a tummy ache giving him Tylenol only makes it worse so I use it with discretion and very infrequently. Also, am I the only one whose child HATES cold things??! Aiden wouldn't touch a cold teether. I even tried buying different kinds and still none could be cold!

I swear by tylenon & Oragel--didn't seem to have any problems, her teeth came through just fine! Poor thing will feel much better!!! :) My daughter didn't care to suck on anything meant to ease teething pain, so it's all I had left!

Well my son is almost 9 months and still teething but so far teething tablets and a little bit of tylenol every now and then has helped him out. He likes the teething rings they have i know that the paci wouldn't work for him he isnt a paci kind of baby. But i buy all natural teething tablets at walmart.

From my experience, they are AMAZING!! Orajel never worked for her and I try not to give her baby Tylenol, even though that seems to work occasionally. As for their safety, my dog has gotten a hold of one or two and he can seem to rip them apart very easily. Granted, he's a 6lb miniature pincher but he's got quite the set of teeth on him. The mesh pacifiers are easily my "go to" whenever she starts to fuss do to teething. AND I don't know if you've tried graduates yogurt melts, they are another go to thing if you are on the run! I don't give her too many because I try not to get her hooked on sweets but they do have some good nutritional value and work so well in a pinch!

Yeah I've seen those paci's but I wasn't sure how good/safe they were... I know if your childs old enough like mine you could also put a piece of frozen fruit in it too. I'm just worried about the mesh coming off while the little one's chomping down and getting some stuck in the throat...

Also, they have these mesh pacifiers that you can put ice cubes in. They help numb the gums as well as make the tissue softer and easier for teeth to come through. Good thing babies are so wonderful otherwise I don't know how we could get through the teething stage! GOOD LUCK!!

I would use a warm wash cloth let her chew on that. Also hylands has an all natural teething gel or pills that will help. I also used pain medication too. Good luck and best wishes

I used teething tablets for all my kids,worked great! you can pick them up at any health food,natural store and in the warmer weather gave them freezies.

My daughter is 16 months old now. But when she was teething I used ice cubes and freeze pops. With the freeze pops i froze them and gave them to her unopened and she chewed on them. My daughter didn't like the teething rings becaue her mouth was too small to really fit them so the freeze pops and ice cubes worked perfectly.

babies do all kinds of diff things while teething and trying to find something for all of them is hard ,,i ttried regular teething tablets and for my oldest and my neices and they didnt work but i did use humphreys theething pellets for both my kids they are all natural no side affects and no overdoses ,,its not just for a teething baby it helps when they are cranky or just wont go to sleep ..i luv them and wont use anything els u can get them at walgreens by the baby oralgel trust me this will be the best thing u will ever use

Go to Shoppers drugmart or Target and pick up some Camillia! It is herbal drops that you give your baby and they work wonders! I have used them for 3 out of 4 of my children..only because I didn't find out about them until my second!!

i used orajel, teething tablets, and motrin... my daughter was teething late so she was poppin 4 out at a time and her gums were dark purple and bruised. i felt so bad so i did what i could to minimize her pain...also my doctor prescribed her some baby ib profein so maybe u can get that if u schedule an appointment

I used the teething tablets as well. A lot of babies don't sleep as well when they are teething, so that may be shy she seems tired and cranky. Before you put her down for naps or bed give her the teething tablets (and baby Tylenol if needed) and it should help ease the pain so she can sleep better.

I used Baby Orajel and my daughter seemed fine, it is basically just a numbing agent that allows the teeth to come up with little pain felt by your little one. If your baby is in a lot of pain a little baby Tylenol might help as well. My doctor recommended that when she was having a rough time during the night. You know your baby best, do what you feel will make her feel better within reason!
