congratulations!! i had twin girls in june last year. they were 3.5lbs and 5.9lbs. i found it very hard to get clothes to fit them especially the smaller one! I kept my 2 in separate moses baskets and cots, because it would be difficult ot separate them when they got older (i had advice from a friend who went through this with her twin boys). i started to by nappies and wipes cotton balls or pads you can never have enough of them and if the nappies are too big babies will grow into them. i always have my girls dressed the same and will do until the day they ask to be dressed differently - thats just what i do every1 is different. I bought 2 of everything, although yes it was very expensive im thankful i did as one of my girls has to have what the other one has lol! I was worried about having twins as it was my first pregnancy and everyone told me it would be soo hard, but its not, twins is all i no! good luck with your pregnancy and after. x

I have identical twin girls. They are three now and they slept in the same crib until they were one so that was an extra expense that could wait. Also we only bought one activity jumper and one play gym. The girls could both lay on the playgym until they got big. One of my favorite and most used item was the Bumbo. We bought two with trays. They kept the girls contained and next to each other when they wanted to sit and they can go right on your table or counter without needing. The space for a high chair. The girls still use them as boosters at our table! I do suggest two swings also. It gives you a break if they are fussy at the same time! I would never have made it without my swings! Hope that helps you some. Good luck! They are a lot of work but such a blessing.

You get the same as if you were having a single child. Just so you know, you don't need double the clothes, that would be too much to clean. Besides, girls hate wearing the same outfit as someone else ;)
You will need double everything else. 2 cribs, 2 car seats, a double stroller, etc.
Good luck!!!

Dr. Weissbluth wrote a sleep book specifically for twins, I got it for my cousin when she was pregnant with hers. Both her boys slept through the night around 3 months. I do not have twins but used his method with all three of my kids and loved it.
