SO yea Im a new mom my baby is 7 months old, but lately i have strong feelings of guilt! I work full time and so does daddy we switch shifts i work 2-8 he works 8p-8a so we always switch off! We get a day off together once a month if we r lucky! so needless to say we have very little family time and couple time. So I have been feeling guilty because we do not have a lot of money. I feel like i was selfish thinking i could have her before we were finacially ready! I feel so guilty because some other family would of been able to proovide for her better than we are. We are paying the bills but we have nothing extra! I just feel so guilty like example she is growing out of her car seat. The one the govt suggests is 280 bucks we cant drop money like that on a car seat, even though i know she needs it! I dunno but do other moms ever feel this way. I feel guilty about it. I dunno but i love her so much and i just want her to have more than what i had!

dont feel guilty! me and my husband dont have very much money either...sounds like the same situation you are in we basically live pay check to pay check no money saved up ..we were not prepared but i will never give up trying for my daughter i will do my best to provide for her and give her as much love as possible! also just because the govt suggests that car seat does not mean you have to get that one..there is plenty of good ones out there for a good price and if you do your research you can really get a good buy. the one we bought our daughter was 150 which is still expensive but it is a convertable one and goes up to 85lbs so it will last a long time! ive also started saving money buying targets genaic diapers which save me a crap load of money..we were buying huggies or cruisers which were 25$ a box and we were having leaking problems so i figured why not try them and believe it or not they work ten times better than the pampers or huggies and not to mention they are 15$ for a box..keep you head high dont ever think someone else could have done a better job!

hi first off don't feel guilty.....and check kmart for a seat for her they have layaway. thats how my kids get most of their things. i had my kids when i was so not ready. you should just remember that you love her and she gets time with mom and dad even if not all together right now. my husband and i did that for years and our kids are fine. money doesn't make a child happy. just continue to do your best and keep loving her the way you do. i know i felt guilty for a long time just try to remember instead of feeling guilty about it keep moving forward and it'll be ok. NEVER EVER let yourself think "someone" else could love her the way you and dad do. and seriously layaway is the best for the big things. good luck and you are not alone i think most parents feel guilty sometimes i know i did. best of luck it will get better and my kids are 10 and 13 and are just as fine.
