How can I get my two boys to go potty at night? They go potty during the day but will not go at night.

Don't give them more than a few sips of water after dinner to help prevent accidents and also have them go right before bed. Our ritual was a few drinks, potty, book, then bed. We never had accidents b/c the bladder was empty and he knew what to expect every night. If that doesn't work maybe leave the bathroom light on for awhile until they get comfortable getting up if they need to.

I agree with cutting out the fluids atleast an hour before bedtime and always make sure they use the potty before bed. My son only has problems with wetting the bed when he has a long day and is really tired. He is sooo exhausted that he just sleeps right through wetting the bed, sometimes not waking up until hours later. So on nights when we know that he had a long active day, my husband or I will get him up in the middle of night to make sure he goes potty instead of sleeping through it. Sounds a little harsh waking him up in the middle of night but he never even remembers getting up and it works!

i didn't have to much trouble with my frist girl but my second one was a little harder and we still have little trouble wetting her pants durning the day. how i did it was an hour b4 bed stop giving them something to drink and make them go to the bathroom. i rewarded them every time they went ppotty gave them a sticker.

My daughter just turned 4 and her dr told me not to worry about it until they are about 5 or so.  The reason she says children wet at night at these early ages is because they sleep so soundly.  She said to find out if either my husband or I were late trainer because that could be helpful.  We had to take my daughter out of the good night becasue she kept getting a rash so we have her pee before she goes to bed and then my husband puts her on the potty before he goes to bed.  We have been doing this for a couple of months now and she has only had a few accidentsI hope that helps.

when my daughter was 3 she just refused to wear anything to bed anymore so i told her if she had to go to try and use the potty during the night that i left in her room. now she is 4 and we are only having a wet bed maybe 1 time every other week. i just have a waterproof mattress cover on her bed and if she wets i change the sheets and put her right back to bed. i don't make a big deal about it...if it happens it happens. the only way they really learn not to wet the bed is to feel what it is like to sleep in a wet bed. there are a lot of children out there that wet the bed up till the age of 5 or 6. it just happens. just keep your bedtime routine and don't make a big deal if they do wet the bed.

Good answer Tania!! I had to stop with the fluids after 7 or 7:30 and then had my son go potty before bed as well! That would be my advice as well!! Good luck!!
