Caleb came off the bottle just a few days after he turned one. He has allergies to all nuts and berries. It is soo hard to find juices he can drink. He pretty much drink Milk, but he gets apple juice too sometimes. He has a very healthy appetite. He will eat pretty much anything. He doesn't like collards though. I feed him scrambled eggs for breakfast and sandwiches an hotdogs etc. for lunch and for dinner he eats whatever I cook for dinner for my husband and I.

Ah, the bottle. The one thing about little kids I am not really sure about. My son still has two bottles a day at 19 months. Not instead of meals, he has one as soon as he gets up and just before bed. He needs the calcium and bottles are so flipping easy!

Aside from that, he gets kids weetbix with extra iron for breakky, a jam or vegemite & cheese or honey etc. sandwhich for lunch. He then has his sleep. For afternoon tea he has fruit (either tinned fruit if we are out of fresh fruit or out somewhere) Whatever is in season, though he HATES apples and has since the first day we ever tried them. Nectarines, bananas, oranges, grapes, pears etc. For tea he gets what we are having, or one of the frozen meals I have in the freezer for him if what we are having isn't appropriate or we are eating later. The frozen meals are always mince or risotto or vegies etc.

Do you give him jar food any more? My son refuses to eat it since we started giving him home cooked at about 8 months, when a jar wasn't enough.

put a splash of honey in it instead of sugar, just a drizzle, it won't hurt him and a bit of vanilla for flavor. He'll gobbel it up!

Have you tried diluting pear juice, or apple orange peach juice? Or maybe making your own juices in your blender with some simple syrup (1 1/2 cups of plain white sugar and 1 cup of water boiled together until the sugar is dissolved and cooled) and then added to a puree of whatever fruit you like or mix together and strain. Remember he is a baby so dilute it 2 to 1 for him. I hope that helps you a bit. But you can add things like mint for flavor too because you might drink some too if there is leftovers!!! Use yougurt for a smoothie with mango very finely pureed so it will go through the bottle and he will get a pile of nutrients... check your local market for fruits!
