Not sleeping through the night

My daughter is almost 4 and she was doing really good with sleeping the whole night, but for the past 2 months she gets up at midnight and doesn't want to go back to sleep or she wants to come in mommy and daddy's bed. My husband doesn't like her sleeping in our bed. I just don't want her to wake up the baby so then I would have two kids to get back to sleep. She has a night lite in her room, and we have been leaving the door cracked open. Does anyone have any suggestions to help her sleep the whole night in her own bed?

i have a son 2 1/2 that does the same thing....wants to come in bed with mommy and daddy and my husband doesn't like it either. we have 1 month old too now. when he wakes up in the middle of the night, i take him back to his room and sit with him for a few minutes until he goes back to sleep.

I was told to put her on the toilet.  Leave lights off, speak softly.  Then when she's done, straight back in bed.  Hug and kiss, and goodnight.  Most kids, thats why they're waking up, and they don't realize it.

I do not have a 4 year old however I have heard that if a child is waking up the first time they do it is to take their hand, tell this it is bed time and then put them in bed. The rest of the times they get up in the same night....you just take their hand ( do not say anything) and put them back into bed. You do this until they do not get out of bed. Granted you may be getting up and putting them back into bed 10-15 times...but eventually they will not get up.
