i'm just wondering what you prefer & why?

i prefer doing things old-fashioned. my great great grandmother had a rule she lived by: don't take a pill if you don't need it. she died on my 4th birthday in 1993 just missing her 101st birthday by a couple of weeks.

are you talking about birth control or how you want to raise your child?
if it's birth control well, i had an implanon rod put in my arm that keeps me from getting pregnant for 3 years. and i love it.
if you are talking about raising your child, i'm old fashioned. when my daughter gets older, she won't have a tv in her room, she won't have a cell phone, she won't have a car until she can pay for it herself. i've been told i'm a cold hearted bitch because of this but to be honest i don't believe a 7 year old is old enough to be responsible with a phone that the parent has to pay for!

I generally use intuition, neither old fashioned nor adhering necessarily to doctor's orders. For instance, the doctor advised me to feed my daughter baby food from jars claiming she wouldn't get enough nutrition if I fed her what we eat. Doing research, I found that baby food in jars is mostly water with ingredients and severely lacks the nutritional value of raw food. My daughter has a MUCH higher nutritional intake now that she eats with us and that's how it will be for every child I have. I don't take medicine unless I need it either and I try to steer away from processed or hormone-ridden foods.
