I had my son on 9-15-09 by emergency c-section. He was 5 wks early but had to be delivered b/c he stopped moving. Anyway, even after 3 months my stomach is still really painful to the touch. I didnt even have this much pain after the procedure. I stopped taking the pain meds on day 3 and just used Motrin. Now I wish I had pain meds....I was just wondering if anyone else who had a c-section had this prob.

I had my c section on august 28, 2009 and after about 3 months just like you it felt like I was suddenly in pain again. It feels like a fresh bruise just like you said! It is more than likely not an infection unless your skin around your incision is turning pink and is hot to the touch. I know this because I had an infection in my incision. So now my area between the incision and my belly button feels like a bruise. This is because we are still healing. You could not feel it before because your nerves were not healed enough for you to feel any of that pain. It you touch your belly it kinda feels like it is numb in some areas?! Well it is getting its nerves and feeling back and it hurts! Hopefully it doesn't always feel like this for us! My doctor said that I was fine and should be doing some exercises to strengthen the muscles in my abdomen. Make sure you find some exercises that are ok for you and easy on your body! Ask your doctor or google ab exercises after a c section!

I learned the hard way, on my right side of my incision i noticed it was red and swollen and i thought it was normal, it too was painful to the touch but i ignored it. One day i woke up and the incision had puss coming out but only on one side. I went to the doctor exactly one week from when i had the c section and they said i had a staff infection. I think you should be safe and go get it checked. I had to spend four days in the hospital with antibiotics pumping through both arms, and on top of that they found out i was anemic so i had to get a blood transfusion. so get it checked.

I had a c-section with my little man 11 months ago. It got infected at 8 weeks. I had to get it cleaned up at the doctors and properly bandaged again. I was also given medication. I would go see your doctor as soon as possible. Nothing worse than having it get infected. Make sure you dont do any heavy lifting as this can tear the muscles and doesnt help the healing process.
These days my scar has shrunk and faded a lot. I dont have any pain at all however i am numb on the scar itself.

I had a similar situation in my pregnancy, but I had toxemia and hypertension. Anyway, my daughter was born 7-5-09 and I still have places along my incision that are numb from the anesthesia. My doctor told me it should be ok. I would ask your doctor, because this far out from your delivery date you shouldn't be in too much pain. I'm sorry, I hope you get some help.

i had a c-section 3yrs ago. i still have pain, it is bc of the scar tissue. i even get spasms around that area and if i turn in a weird way or squat or something like that i feel like the incision is being pulled apart. some people will always have pain it all depends on how your body is.

i had an emergency c-section 14days before you. the pain only lasted about 4-6weeks n after that it was fine im not sayin you dnt get pains after the 4-6weeks b/c you do but there not that sore. you will get pains for yrs to come as i no ppl who had theres like 20yrs ago and still get pains. i would go to your doctor if the pain continues.

My pain isnt so much over the incision as it is above the incision between the incision and the belly button area. I did talk with my dr and they said it was prob scar tissue but if it continues I can have more surgery to have the scar tissue removed. It feels as though you are pressing on a fresh bruise(does that make sense?) I was just curious if anyone else had the same issue. I also had my tubes tied and a tumor removed that they found during the procedure so I guess that may be part of it too. Thank you all for your input.

I had mine in April, I wasn't having extreme pain 3 months later, although it was a little sore after a long car ride or after walking for too long, lifting- things like that. Even now it still hurts if my son or dog jump on it, or god forbid, my husband pushes on it (he should know better by now, lol) My mom told me that its going to bother me for a long while and even now, 23 yrs later, hers still itches from time to time. However if you're still feeling like you did the week after having it you should def talk to your doctor.

I had a c-section as well, and my pain lasted till about 5 months. If i slept on my tummy, when i woke up it was so sore where the scar it. I thought it was weird too, but eventually it went away...

If the pain is that bad I would talk to your doctor because I was in a lot of pain when I had my first C section but it only lasted about the first month so I would call your doctor and ask just to make sure there isnt some type of infection or something. Better to be safe then let become something far worse.

I had a c-section recently I just want to let you know your body doesnt really heal until around 6 month. I still feel pain where they cut me but not bad only if i lift something really heavy. I know it looks like the out side is heal but the inside is not. so you still have to take it easy. and this is my 2nd c-section and it was PAINFULL.so take tylenol and watxch it for a while if it dont go away in a couple month then you might have infection.

I did not have that problem. I would recommend talking with your doctor.
