My baby has a couple possible biological fathers. I was just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to get results after birth or just someone to talk to who understands the stresses of the special circumstances it creates.

i have had both kinds. the one the friend of the court does and the mail in one, in my county and state the mail in one was good enough. And the one though friend of the court works like this, if the man being tested is the father then he pays for it and if he is not you do. Not sure how long it takes was a long time ago. hope this helps.

Medicaid will pay for it if I want to wait and go through the whole process of dealing with the state, but that is bound to be a very long, drawn out process. One of the potential fathers offered to pay for it to get it done right away.

I did it, we went to a place and had it done we got the results in 3 or 4 days. If you need it for court purposes the ones you mail in will not work. You have to go to a place in town and have one one.

the father of my daughter hasn't been around since i was 4 months pg and denies that she could be his when i know she is his but he told his sister that she could very possibly be his. i filed with the attorney generals office and i have a court date in march to get the DNA test done. a friend of mine went thru the same thing and it only took 2 weeks when you actually get the test dont. its GETTING to that point that takes about 6 months, sad to say.

i did it and ordered it on the internet and after I mailed it it took about three weeks. Its hard and the man, my ex is not the father come to find out and the courts are giving him custody and me weekends. Its a hard situation
