She is beautiful and all these little things we all have that make us duifferent give us character, it will only make her a stronger person, and you a stronger mom. My daughter has one on her shoulder and it dissapeared, i almost wish it hadnt, made her stand out from the crowd

I know how you feel. My daughter was born with a bright red birthmark on her forehead, and it gets darker the more tired she gets or angry. She was also born with a branchial cyst on her neck (it looks like a pimple), but don't let these people bother you. These kids are great and I couldn't imagine my life without my daughter. Ignore those people or just tell them what it is if they ask. No need to "justify" yourself to people who don't know you or your family. Just give your daughter lots of love and the self-confidence that that builds.

My two youngest were born with blister-like spots going down both cheekbones. Nobody has ever seen it before and can't tell us what it is. Everybody always asks, it honestly doesn't bother me because I understand their curiosity. You barely notice the older one's now, she's 3. The worst is when doctors or nurses that have never seen them before ask like we burned them or something. What can you do? You can't let it get to you! A friend of mine's brother was born with a similar spot over his eye and by the time he was school-age it was barely noticeable. She is beautiful btw! I just say simply he/she was born with it, we don't know what it is and that usually ends the discussion.

I had a very large 'strawberry' birthmark on my face when I was born. It began on my forehead, spread over my right eye- causing my eyelid to swell. I couldn't have laser, due to servely sensitive skin. I am now 27 and over the first 6 years of my life the mark was treated with a steroid (low dose) cream. It went and all I have to show is a 3mm mark under my eye - this is only apparent when i'm tired. I think people are idiots, your kids are beautiful -  ignore the shallow minded bigots who think that they have a right to stare. Just look them straight in the eyes smile and say - isn't she beautiful!

Hi i know exactly how you feel it awful! My son has atopic eczma it was really bad as a baby and people would look in the pram as though he had a contageous disease or something! it was heart breaking as i already felt bad enough he had to go through all the pain and irratation of actually having the eczma. I had to put up with even older people looking at him like he had just dropped from mars, and also younger children making comments! He is now 6 and his eczma is undercontrol but does flair up now and then and when it does he gets upset as people make comments then. some children was even told by there parents not to play with him at his school as it got bad through stress when i give birth to my son last year, and i had to stay in hospital 5 days, as he a little worrier, bless him! Some people just dont think how it makes other people feel with there words or actions! Your girls are lovely and as long as they have your love if people do make comments you can face them together!

unfortunately some people just stare.. honestly i would probably stare too but not in any kind of way to where she would look like i freak. i have a tendency to stare at any kind of baby. with a smile of course.maybe their just trying to figure out what it is if they dont understand that its a birth mark. she's beautfil with or without it.

I know how you feel my daughter was born with a birthmark on her forhead to. Is was from the top of her nose to her hairline. Peoplewould always ask what was wrong with her and it would make me mad. She is seven now and ever so often people still ask what it is. It hasn't gone away but it  is very light now. The only time you can see it is when shes mad or hot. There is hope it will fade but don' think it will go away.

People can be so rude! My neice had a huge strawberry on her head,she still has it but since her hair has grown in its not as noticeable,but people would stare.If you want to know what it is ask.I dont mind.Id rather be asked than be stared at!

My daughter had one and the doctor said anything above the brow line usually disappears before 2 years and hers did before one. If it doesn't go away, they can easily be removed. It really doesn't look that bad to me. Maybe your motherly worries are getting the best of you. You might be worrying too much about other people hurting your little girl's feelings and that worry might be going to your head and making you think people are judging when really they are not. Or maybe they are just worried for her feelings too and wondering if it will go away but too afraid to ask you. She is a beautiful little girl and if anybody tells you different they shouldn't be in her life anyways!

I'd be honest with people and say something like..."I see you've noticed my daughters port wine stain, or whatever it's called, do you have a question I could answer? Don't let people get away with being rude. 1 in 4 kids report being bullied by 2nd grade..over 80% of those feel that their teacher just ignores it!! It might teach others not to stare at people, but it will teach your children to stand up for themselves!

My daughter has a large red birthmark on her upper chest so it's not too visable to strangers right now but i have had some looks even from close friends and family when i change her clothes or diapers...one person gasped omg whats that! I just try to ignore it...i think a lot of people don't even realize they are being rude and it is just human curiosity to stare at something that seems different to us even if we don't mean any harm by it! My daugher had a strawberry mark right inbetween her eyebrows that gradually faded...you can barely see it now, she'll be 2 in 2 weeks, but it shows up good and clear when she is crying.

People are ALWAYS going to judge and they're always going to stare at something that's "different" so like I said ignore them and be happy to have 2 healthy beautiful girls!

my eldest daughter is four now she had one on the side of her head when she was around 2 it completly dissapeared and now my 2nd daughter was born with a cleft lip and palatte you should of seen the looks she got before her surgery i wished people would ask me about rather than stare and talk under there breath so she should be fine don't worry what other people think she is beautiful

i say shame on them, wat sort of person would stare at a little baby.. i would understand a child but an adult..they should take a hard look at themselves, your daughter looks like a beautiful, kind natured kid and i too wish ppl these day's weren't so cruel.. it makes me angry i had a friend who had a huge birthmark covering her left sid of the face and ppl were forever laughing at her.. it's wrong ppl need to grow up .. and if mothers are staring i would say omg parents are suppose to be understanding what if it was there child...  if i were you darl i would just blow them a kiss or give a big wave and try and show you don't care what they think.. as you say it will disappear at an early age,, before school so i wouldn't bother worrying both your daughters are adorable and i would be so proud..

my cousin had a baby girl who at first had no marks on her face what so ever but with in 3 weeks a tiny red dot appered on her uper cheek bone and as the months went on it got bigger an bigger, it turnt out to be a hemegoblem (spelt wrong im sure) she is now at school an nearly 7 years old although the lump now fits her face although still very apparent she fits right in an has no problems what so ever, her mum struggled with the way people looked at her first born but her daughter deals with better then she does, im sure ur daughter will do the same as she will know no different as long as u show her love, sod what poeple say or how they look, no-one is perfict everyones got something, she is still the most lovely baby ever!! have faith and stay strong!! xx

I no its evil one off my sons had excema server he was really bad sometimes looked like we had put him through a cheese grater he went through hell i was even stopped in a shop in town by securty and asked to leave the store as customers was worryed what he had and if they catch it...i stood strong and belted out at the top off my voice some not very nice words and added he had server excema,i no what its like to have people look in your pram and there faces change as if to say eww look at that,Your daughter is beautiful and sod what anyone eles thinks its hard sometimes to block it out but your have a special gift and that is your 2 stunning beautiful daughters :0) x x x x x

my son was born with a mongolion spot(birthmark) and because it looked like a bruise i ended up flipping on one of the poor nurses the first time i saw it. she explained that all native babies have one and since I'm not she asked "doesnt the father have one". well very embarrassed I realized I just never really paid much attention to it. well the point im trying to make is most people have birthmarks and most people dont even really register them. I get where you're coming from but I really hope you don't worry too much, you could just ignore those people that are that isolated they dont know what a birthmark is and then you'll be more free to notice how many people see your daughter the way you do.

awe... some people can be so cruel... my daughter doesnt have one...but i was born with a red mark on my nose... and my mom said it went away when i was 3 or 4... mom said people use to call me rudolph... both of your babies are cute!!! some people have no respect or even a heart when it comes to children... all children are beautiful!!!! keep your head up and we all knwo shes precious and beautiful!!!! :)

I have the same problem.  My son has a pretty large red birthmark on his forhead between his eyebrows.  It looks more like a nasty bruise then anything.  I always get comments like, "Oh no!  What did he hit his head on?"  They look at me like I'm letting my son run into things on purpose or I dropped him.  I explain to them that I had the same thing when I was a baby and of course now I don't...all they  have to do is look at my forhead.  It's way annoying having to explain to every person what it is.  So I'm sorry you  have to deal with this also but she is a beautiful baby. both of your girls are adorable

my 6 year old has a hemangioma on her left hand and on her right foot between her toes. i know exactly how you feel because i can remember everyone looking at her hand and asking me what that was, as if they were disgusted or were afraid it was contagous. all i can tell  you is to ignore these people and to not let it get to you. kill them with kindness lol... my daughter is now 6 years old and both hemangiomas ( red birthmarks) had disapeared. all you can see the outline of the birthmark very lightly...

note:: when my daughter was 4 years old and in pre-k the kids would ask her what that was and i simply told her that she was special and that only REAL princesses had that special birthmark.. and beleive it or not all the children really thought she was a princess and so did she.. hope this helped!

Hi, my kids dont have anything like that but i myself do, i have this dark brown mole on the side of my neck, and i have had it since i was little. When i was small i use to think it was a big deal and then the older i got the less i cared. I realized that it was just part of me and that people will have to like me with it or nick off basically. Its part of who i am and it maakes me just that bit more unique. I think your girls are gorgeous and next time someone looks in the pram at her with some weird look on thier face you should just giggle and say " isnt that strawberry kiss, the cutest kind of kiss" Dont worry about what people think, because shallow people are usually the ones that  have something weird to hide about themselves. I have a port wine stain under my left eye. Growing up my family had to deal with alot of the public questioning their parenting and if I was being taken care of. I even was confronted away from my parents asking if they beat me, but my simple reply was 'It's a birthmark, and Jesus gave it to me!' It shut them up! And as long as she has the support and influence to make her a beautiful person on the inside, she will show it everyday! My kids now haven't asked at all about mine, and now and days the most that I get from anyone asking is little kids asking what is it. It may fade, it may not, slowly over the last 26 years, the edges disappear....but a little makeup doesn't hurt anything! Your two girls are gorgeous!

I know exactly what ur going through!!!! My son had one on his hand. it took up almost his whole hand and it was also on his palm. At the age of about 3 months I had a woman ask me what I was doing to allow him to get so badly burnt!!!! His was raised and lumpy so I see how ppl could have thought it was a burn! I just thought that it was disgusting that she thought I would allowmy baby to get burnt!

I also had children comment alot that he was bleeding or had a sore! Most ppl were pretty good and simply ask what it was or if it was children commenting I would explain to them that it was like a freckle. My son is now almost 3 and it is nearly gone. Its so faint that ppl dont notice anymore. I had professional photos done when he was about 2 months old and the photographer said to me "Don't worry bout that red mark on his hand we will retouch it out!" My response was " No that is my son and his birthmark is part of him so it can stay in the photo's!" I was shocked that he really thought i would want it removed from the photos. Still to this day the pics hang proudly on my living room wall, red birthmark and all!!!!

you know people can be very rude but try not to let it bother you (i know it's hard)...my mom went throught it with me when i was born..i was born with a hemangioma...i had it removed when i was 4 because it was right underneath my eye.....my mom went through a lot when it came to other people....she would take me out and all people would do is stare or make comments about it.....they'd say ewww what's that....just very rude things....i wasnt aware of the way ppl looked at me either and i was quite proud of my bump i had under my eye......your babies are gorgeous and dont let others tell u different!!!.....
