i had a miscarriage 9 years ago, at about 7 weeks, i just had alot of blood, and it came away when i went to the loo, but i didnt get much pain til afterwards, then it was like period cramps. with my second child, i had bleeding and spotting during the first 5 months, but all was ok, apparantly u can spot/bleed in pregnancy, and now on my third child, i miscarried one of them (it was twins) at 4 months pregnant, but the other is doing ok! so dont be too worried, but just be careful :) x

I don't have any encouraging information to add.

Just wanted to say I'll be thinking of you. Good luck.

It might be possible that you ovulated a lot later then you think you did. There is no positive way to tell when you ovulated. I hope that you are not having a miscarriage. The spotting could be implantation bleeding. I had it thinking that I was having a miscarriage. I was also about 4-5 weeks. Doctor thought that I ovulated a lot later then when I thought. I now have a crazy 20 month old. Hang in there and keep us update!

The HCG levels double everyday during the first trimester. If they are going down then most likely it is a miscarriage or blighted ovum (an empty gestational sac with no baby growing inside). I went through the same thing about two years ago. Im sorry if this is what your going through :( I had to have a D&C. I know how sad and painful it is. The good news is that I got pregnant again a mo.th and a half later and now have a happy, healthy 10 month old.
I wish you the best

I had the same issue at 10 weeks with my son. It is a possible miscarriage but they had me go on bed rest for 5 days and monitor whenever I went to the bathroom to make sure it was spotting and not bleeding like a regular period and I had to follow up with my doctor 2 weeks and 4 weeks after my trip to the ER. The best thing to do until they can determine for sure if it is a miscarriage is to get a lot of rest, no heavy lifting, and drink lots and lots of water. Mine turned out to be placenta previa (placenta blocks the cervix and causes irritation, leading to bleeding and can cause c-section if it doesn't resolve) and my HCG levels were unstable at the time due to stress. I wish you the best and hope that your baby is ok. Good luck!

I had a whole bunch of tests done when I was pregnant and the first few months blood tests showed negative, but my urine tests came back positive. I have a beautiful baby girl now. you should get another test done in a couple of weeks. I hope it's a miracle story. I wish you the best.

Same here - the same thing happened to me. And I'm not going to sugar coat it - It's devistating. I really hope that that's not what it is though.

But if so, just know you're not alone. many many women go through this. Time will heal. And let yourself grieve... Don't hold it in. Keep us updated if you can. xoxox

Well I hope it's not a miscarriage, but it sounds like it. I had 4 of them. I only had light cramping and spotting at first too, and my HCG numbers kept going down also, Then the bad pain happened and I had a miscarriage. It happened like a week after i started spotting. If you have a healthy pregnancy, your HCG numbers are supposses to keep going up and fast. I don't want to upset you, but that's what happened to me. Praying that's not the case for you!!
