Also because it was easy for me doesn't mean it will be for you. Like stated above it depends on the child and their readiness. Now I have a 8 month old so we will see how potty training goes for her. lol

30 minutes on 30 minutes off. Also Patience is key in doing this. Although I had extremely it easy with my daughter being very independent and always doing things on her own. She was potty trained in 3 days at the age of 14 months and I dont know how but once potty trained she didnt potty in the bed at night (once every 4 or 5months maybe even longer) it was a miracle but I was glad for it. it also help that my mother, and mother-in-law were there to also help! No dirty sheets for me lol but for my cousin this technique worked.

Hi Audrey :0). I potty trained my daughter at 11 months. It took about two weeks of constant timing and noticing facial expressions. I also had a potty training book that I would read to her. ... it helped alot! Ok, first things first, if you have a potty great, make sure she goes to the bathroom with you sometimes and talk about how you have to "go potty"... the first time my daughter used her potty I was using the bathroom as well. I made faces "on purpose" and i would say how I needed to "go". She found it funny and would mimic me and before the two weeks was up she was fully potty trained. Also, you have to let her know that she's a big girl and that she needs to learn to potty like big girls. Tell her that she cannot wear diapers anymore because their for "babies". You HAVE to let her go without the diapers for a couple of hours of the day, only put the diaper on before she goes to bed. First thing in the morning...when she wakes up, take her to the potty and you sit down as well. Kids usually always have to use the bathroom right when they awake. Hope this helps :0) good luck...

I didn't forse my son to go on the potty I just had him run around naked and he either went on him self or he went on the potty. I didn't make him do anything. Now that he is 21/2 he will tell me he doesn't have to go. But he will be standing there dancing. So I will take him anyway. He'll stops fighting me as soon as he seats down. He has never asked for his diaper back. He likes to be a big boy and go to the potty.

My advice..they'll go when they're ready! (not when you think they are). My daughter is a little over 2 and a few months ago was EXTREMELY interested in going potty "like mommy". I bought some pull-ups and even let her pick her own potty! We had a chart and stickers for using the potty, washing hands, flushing, etc.. But days later she started telling me "no mommy, I don't want to go potty. I like my diaper." She threw fits when I tried to make her sit anyway, but I stopped cause i didn't want her to associate potty with "bad". I've tried bribes with candy and toys, I even bought regular underwear for her, but she would pull them off and cry for a diaper (or pull-up). It's DEFINITELY a control thing. So I've stopped mentioning the potty and I hid hers in the closet about a week ago, and now she want to know where it is again. :) All on HER time!

I don't know if its the same for girls as it is for boys I hope it is. I am sahm so this is how I did it with my son we stayed inside for a few days and went without a diaper. We had a potty in the living room as well as in the bathroom. If I seen him peeing I would put him on the potty. After a while he would just go on there. For a while before Me and his dad would take him in the bathroom with us when we went and would put him on his potty while we went. We don't use underwear when we go out or at the house because he just uses them as a diaper. He only wears a diaper at nap and bedtime. When you are first potty training put a towel or something in the car seat when you go out and an extra pair of clothes. I actually think that I got all of this off of this website they send me advice and stuff. I dont know how to look for it on here but I bet you can. If you have any Q just email me. Hope this helps. Good luck

if you are just starting out then you should put your daughter on the potty every half hour. until she starts to realize that the potty is where she goes. and if you have to, bribe. put a dish of candy in the bathroom. and tell her that every time she uses the potty like a big girl that she can take one piece of candy.

good luck
