I am getting ready to potty train Aiden. He will be 2 on April 29th. He is absolutely obsessed with Elmo. I got him an Elmo potty that I'm about to introduce him too. I just want some great advice from successful moms. He has older twin siblings that he has been kind of curious about when they go to the bathroom. I just want some advice on how to approach it. The twins were 3 when their daddy and I got together so this is the first time i'm approaching the potty training adventure. :)

Thank you both so much! He has that dvd and loves it! They are starting to help out at his preschool too! So we'll see how it goes!!! :)

Im with Lianne. That potty training DVD was GREAT! Also, I used a chart that we stuck on the door of the bathroom and everytime he went he got a sticker. After he filled up two rows, (or whatever works for you) then we went to Walmart and he got a cheap toy. Once he was done training, we used the chart for good behavior instead of potty time. If you try too early, he may have a ton of accidents and then you can just hold off and try again later on when he is ready to not have accidents. I started at 18 months, but he had accidents everyday so I stopped until he turned 2 and then he pretty much trained himself with a little assistance. He said "no diaper" one day so I told him that he had to go in the toilet if he wanted to wear no diaper and that was that!

hi if ur son is obsessed with elmo i'd get him "elmos potty training dvd" i live in the uk and i got it from asda for £5,

i started my daughter at 20months, i got her the dvd and a potty training book which she loved looking at, i got her a fifi potty and brought her all her favourite knickers! we looked at the book watched the dvd, she came in the loo with me and told her wot i was doin a few weeks of this and then i put her knickers no nappys only at bedtime, she did great on 2 accidents per day the first week,

she been wearing knickers now for 2months and hardly eva has a accident :)
