I never used a potty chair, I tried but both my kids wanted to use the big toilet. The make things that go on the top of the seat to allow for little butts.

With my daughter we talked about it for a few days that on Saturday morning she would be wearing big girl underwear all day. When she got up on Saturday she was excited and we let her choose where her potty chair would go for the day. I set a timer for 20-30 mins when the timer when off she had to sit on the potty and try to go. After a few hours she went on the potty. We kept up with this all weekend and on Monday she went to daycare in underwear with rubber pants over them. By thursday she was completley accident free. Maybe we just got lucky but the timer thing really seemed to help. I am completley against pull ups because they are too much like diapers, she would only where a pull up if we were going out and at bed time, and that only lasted a few weeks. We trained her a few months before she turned 3.

well dont push her all at once, use knickers through out the day but use pull ups for nap times and bed times, atleast that way if she asks for toilet she can still go and if she forgets then its not so messy. never throw her in at the deep end, praise her constantly for being abig girl in big girl pants, and get everyone else to make positive comments, prompt her constantly, mither mither mither, give her stickers for each use on toilet or potty, do not take stickers away for accidents. accidents do happen! just make her undress herself, she can wash her hands afterwards, dont frown and discourage her. tell her not to worry and put her straight on the toilet and keep prompting her. you will get there. its a lot of effort and hard work, if your out in the car for the day or busy away from toilets put a pull up on her but if she asks for a wee never say no. always find a toilet, even if it is to late.,. keep it up. with out fail put her on the toilet around every half hour. when naptime pull ups are perminantly dry then stop using them..... you will get there eventually xxx good luck xxx

Oh and at nights until she was ready I would makea point to explain that she had to be in a pullup for bed and naps because she was still having accidents and we wanted to make sure her bed wouldn't get wet. She got the point without me getting mad.

I did the same thing with mine as Jamie is suggesting. From start to finish it took about 6 weeks. My advice in addition is to remain as matter of fact as possible when she does have an accident.

wen i potty trained my little boy i had 2 stay in nnearly all week lol u have just got 2 stick with it keep asking her if she needs a wee and keep puttin her on the potty is she wearing a nappie at night?

Keep her in panties and bug her constantly about going. You may have to clean up but shes not going to like wet clothes, and make her clean herself up when she has an accident.

I used charts and rewards for my daughter and its a pain in the butt to be consistent, but it did work. tell her that she can sign up for dance or pre-school and really do it if she goes to the potty like a big girl. Maybe even take her to talk to the teachers so she knows what is expected of her in order to participate in the classes, most of these classes require potty training. good luck and don't give up. My last resort advice is to let her pick out her new undies at the store put them on her and let her wet herself its messy but she probably won't like the feeling of being wet and will learn to use the potty. This method does require reminding her to try frequently after eating, naps and also use rewards when she tells you she needs to go.
