My son, Roman, who will be three years old next month was actually fully potty-trained at one point, but as suggested and informed he regressed. Already through the night without a diaper, and still dry in the morning, my little man decided he was not ready, We went back to pull-ups. He completely refused trips to the potty. Big or Little. Now that he is in daycare I packed a HUGE bag of back-up clothes, undies, socks, pants you name it, it's there! With the help of the teachers he remains dry ALL day with NO accidents. Even during nap time (he still naps for at least an hour). Not long after he is home he is having accidents. Even with frequent reminders and forced upon trips to the bathroom Roman is still having accidents at home. What kind of suggestions do you have? Is he just not ready? Should I stop trying to force it upon him?

I have a 6 year old and a three year old so I have been through potty training twice. With my oldest, we had him go to the bathroom with dad every time. We also let him pee outside. While that is probably not the best way to do it, it worked. I was due with his little brother not long after and really didn't want two in diapers. With my little one, we tried and tried to potty train him and nothing seemed to work. One morning he got up before I did and didn't wake me up. When I finally crawled out of bed, I felt so bad. How long had he been sitting in his night time diaper and you know how full those can get. He had taken his diaper off and had been going to the bathroom all morning by himself. He potty trained himself mostly. Every child is different. All you can do is let him go at his own pace. If he has done it before then he knows what he's doing at I'm guessing he just needs time now.
