Pregnant or just post-baby body changes?

My fiance is the one that KNEW I was pregnant the first time. Now, I have an 11 week old daughter, and he keeps telling me I'm pregnant. I get nauseous, and have almost constant heartburn/indigestion/acid reflux. I had these when I was pregnant both in the beginning of my pregnancy and the end. More heartburn/indigestion/acid in the end, and nausea in the beginning with my daughter. I am breastfeeding so I haven't had a period. It's also within the first year post-baby, so a period is not a good basis of pregnancy. I don't believe in birth control of any kind. We haven't had sex but maybe 3-4 times since she was born. Maybe it's just post-baby natural stuff or my body really changed during pregnancy. I don't know. I just want to get a rough idea of what other moms think. I told my fiance last night that I needed to get a pregnancy test, just to be safe, but he won't let me pick one up. I just don't know what we would do if I was right now. We are totally unprepared for the one we have. I don't know what we would do with another one. I love my daughter to death and would love to have more at some time (especially since labor and delivery was so easy for me) but now is not the time.

it's also possible to get pregnant without having gotten your period back, even if breastfeeding exclusively. i'd take a test just to see. also, look into natural family planning/ rhythm method just to give yourself a little breather between kidlets or as I keep telling my hubby, this will happen again. :) congrats on the little ones!

Why won't he let you get a pregnancy test? I think you need to take one personally. IMO since you don’t believe in birth control I think that you should always be prepared to bring another child into this world because the chances of having sex and not getting pregnant tend to be pretty low. Best wishes!

well you take charge and buy the pregnancy test! there are consequences to having sex and that is pregnancy so if you dont take birth control that is always a possibilty! you dont have to pump hormones into your body like the pill etc but what about condoms? if you dont use protection you will just carry on falling pregnant it is to be expected! as you said you are unprepared for the one you have let alone another one! never mind its your decision not to take preventatives! i decided to take charge of my fertitlity by using contraception after having 1 daughter whos now 3 followed by twin girls and i can tell you its hard work! so if you dont want anothe ryet thers 2 options abstinance or contraception!

Well I would get a test or go to your doctor to have a test done. I couldn't stand to wait to see the doctor so I got a test and didn't tell my doctor about it. It is extremely possible that you could be pregnant and so I would get a test done just for peace of mind. You are so much better off just knowing!

You have to get a test to find out for the health of that potential baby!

It sound to me like you could be pregnant. Why won't he let you pick up a pregnancy test? I would definitely pick one up so you don't have to stress out about it. Cause if you are pregnant the baby doesn't need the stress. So my advice is pick one up and then take it from there.

I think he won't let me get one for the fear of me being pregnant. I will have to look into this "rhythm method". I don't want to have any problems with being pregnant, and I know there are some things you can do while breastfeeding that you should avoid while pregnant (like eating a lot of saltwater fish). I don't want to unknowingly cause my baby harm. I will try to coerce him into buying one... Or I will just have to take a short walk to the store on my own to buy one. (I don't drive.) Thank you both for your opinions. I really appreciate it.
