MY DAUGHTER, RIYAN, WHO IS 7, STARTED HER FIRST DAY OF HIP/HOP DANCE CLASS ON MONDAY! SINCE SHE HAS MY COORDINATION, (THE POOR THING) SHE IS NOT HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS OF THE CLASS. IT IS A FUN FILLED, FAST MOVING DANCE CLASS! SHE LOVES IT BUT IS AFRAID OF LOOKING BAD. SO WE ARE PRACTICING AT HOME! ANY SUGGESTIONS OF HELPING RIYAN WITH HER HAND/EYE COORDINATION?

Video games can be good but if you want something more physical. Try practicing balance at the park. Have her balance along a curb or on rocks (If you have decent sized ones. Not to big not to small.lol) Have you ever done Yoga? That's another thing you can do together that can help her with balance and coordination. I hope I helped. GL

This will sound terrible but my 8 year old son has excellent hand/eye coordination he is in soccer, baseball, basketball, and the list is ridiculous, but he plays video games quite a bit when he is home and even dance dance revolution.

Dance mat and practice should definatley help. In dance class they try to put multiple moves together. Maybe try practicing one at a time until she has it down completely before movng on to the next move
