Questions about the Yaz birth control pill?

I have finally found a bc that doesn't mess my hormones up so bad that I go into crazy mode!! YEA!!! but now this one almost seems to be causing menopause type symptoms. I'm having hot flashes, night sweats , and mood swings. I have only been on it for a month and wonder if these will stop after I adjust or not. I'm just wondering if anyone eles has had this problem on this pill. I have tried several over the years and this one has worked best for me so far. Have been on Orthonovum, Ortho Tri-cylen, Ortho Tri-cylen Lo and Nuva ring and all of them made me feel like I was losing my mind. I really don't want to have to switch again but I can't keep freezing my family especially since I have a 2 month old. It's staring to get cold and I can't keep the temp in the house at 68F much longer.

Ask about the Marvelon pill. Its hormone level is constant. I found that within a couple a weeks, I was back on track.

I used Yaz before I got pregnant (now I have Mirena) and I did get the hot flashes and stuff for the first 6 weeks or so but was great after that. And I was on it for almost 2 years. Loved it except for the fact that I was a pill.

I started taking Yaz after trying Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo, which made me absolutely crazy. The first few months were bliss with Yaz, but after that I got just as crazy on them. I did get things like hot flashes and night sweats (used to keep the air cond. on all night long and froze my husband so many times).. But the mood swings were the worst! I would talk to my husband about it and he told me if I wanted to go off the pill it was entirely up to me. I went off the pill and within a week or so my husband noticed a HUGE difference. Best thing I have ever done! I don't take anything now for birth control, just use condoms and spermicide. It was worth it to me, may not be to you, to use the more basic forms of BC.
