I am wondering if any moms had have their child in a Rhino Cruiser Harness. My daughter will be 9 months in a week and we found on Friday that she has a form of hip displasia in both hips. Her Left is more severe then her right but she has it in both. The put her in the harness for three months and then we will check again to see what the next step is. Since she can no longer sit up I am having trouble finding ways to keep her positioned where she is not laying down all the time and am looking for suggestions. I have been using a bouncy seat and bean bag but didn't know if anyone knew of other ideas. Also, I wanted to know if any moms knew of a carseat that she will fit in with her harness on. We are in the car a lot and I feel bad because she can't be in the harness with her current carseat. Last question is any moms that have gone through this can you tell me how long your journey was before your child was better. The doctor said it could be a long road but didn't say how long.

Hi - I can see that it has been some time since yo have posted; how is your daughter doing? My daughter was dx with hip dysplasia as a newborn and was in a Pavlik harness for 10 weeks. She is now 9 mos and her dr is recommending a rino harness. She has not been fitted for on yet but I can imagine that it will be difficult since she is crawling everywhere, pulls herself up etc. There is a group on facebook that might offer you some support. Search for wheaton brace hip dysplsia and it should pup up.good luck!
