Ok ladies, I have an appointment in a few days to get my IUD. My daughter is 6 months old now and I am kind of sad about getting it. Although I do not want another child right now, My husband doesn't really care to have anymore at all. I feel like if I get this IUD that is saying that we are not going to have anymore kids. I know that it is easy to get it removed, but I feel like this is me giving up. I was taking BC pills and couldn't remember to take them. which is why we got pregnant in the first place (only 2 weeks after we got married!) my husband wasn't so excited about it, but obviously loves our daughter more than anything in the world now. When I actually did start my period yesterday I was almost sad, knowing that this meant that we definitely not going to have anymore kids for at least a year but I feel like it will be a lot longer if ever at all. Has anyone else been sad to get this? what are your feelings about the IUD?

Relax and don't stress out too much. I have had three copper ones and loved them, even though one had to be removed due to complications. The other 2 iuds I had removed because we planned on having more children. I felt as though it gave us time to think about having another chid, rather then jumping into it. Plus I had to sell the idea to my husband. We have had 2 surprise babies and 2 planned.
