It's winter and my 3 month old baby boy recently had a cold. A lot of people suggested that i buy a humidifier because it warms the room without drying the air out. I just wanted to know if any of you have one and if it would be worth getting one?

We use a cool mist humidifier and it has tremendously helped with my daughter cough, and congestion.

A humidifier is good for cleaning the air and helping with a cold. I don't think that it warms up the room though. If a child has allergies it is great for that too. I hope this helps you and that he does better.

My son has excema so the dr recomended a cool mist humidifier. They are safer, cheaper and work just as well. Plus they are GREAT in the summer!

We use one when my daughter is stuffed up. It helps loosen all the gunk up when they're congested.

I'm all for making our son as comfortable as possible when he's not feeling well. We have a warm mist humidifier that we find to be very helpful when our son has a cold. Before buying one I would just use the bathroom as a steam room and that was helpful as well. Good luck!

I have a cool mist humidifier and it helped my little one with his stuffy nose. I recommend a cool mist one because it's less dangerous than the others.

i have one and i find it very useful when my son has a cold...i don't find that it warms his room any but it really helps him sleep when he's congested. i didn't get an expensive one - i think i paid 30 for it...personally i would recommend getting one :)
