Should I Call my OB?

I had my mirena IUD removed three months ago. Two days after removal I had a very short (two day) period. I didn't get another peiod until just over a month and a half later...normal 7 day period. I should have gotten my monthly a week ago yesterday if I was truly back on track. Still nothing and pregnacy test came out negative. Anyone else gone through this? I know it can take some time before you are back to normal but should I contact my OB just in case and ask her just in case? Any info wuold be much appreciated. (Hubby and I are trying to conceive!)

I would definately call your doctor, especially if trying to conceive...i know some birth controls have lngering effects but never heard much about the mirena

Good Luck April! Aunt Flo finally showed up this month. My schedule used to be 28 days now its 35...hopefully it will get back to normal sometime soon. Not sure how conceiving will go this year...the next few months my hubby is away for drill during my ovulation days.....grrrr :)

I had the exact same thing happen and we were try to conceive as well. We tried for 4 months and then changed our minds when we didn't get pregnant. My OB said it could take up to a year after the mirena was taken out, just like the pill. Mine too probably 6 months before they were back to "normal". I had heavier periods than prior to putting the IUD in and the Dr. said that was normal. You're not alone. It's been about 9 months and we're going to try again to get pregnant.

I just had mine removed 3 months ago and after a week or so of bleeding right after. I have had my normal 7 day periods. If it makes you feel better you can call your Ob and talk to her nurse. They are more than happy to answer any questions and address any of your concerns.

If you are not worried about any complications and you are just anticipating being pregnant you can wait another week or two and take another home preg test. Personally I would wait until my next cycle date and if nothing happens, take a preg test and call the doctor.. Good luck:)
