my little girl is 11 weeks old now and at 8 weeks only weighed 8lb 13 oz heath visitors want me to go back every 2 weeks to keep and eye on her weight gain she has all the bottles she is ment to sometimes more on the red book she was born on the 50th line and has gradualy dropped down to near the 2nd line she is happy and heathy and doing every she is ment to also she is teathing will this affect her weight gain? help pleas coz i cant make her put on weight and donet no how im expected to

I know how u feel I had the same problem with my son he was born 7 lbs 13 oz and kept losing weight from day one. When he was dicharged from the hospital he weighted 7 lbs. I had to go every week to his pediatrician and no changes he would just gain an once or so once in a blue moon. He stood in the 10th percent tile for about a year and I never figured that he will ever grow my sons problem was allergies to his formula and when he was 9 mnths they did an allergy profile and he was allergic to milk and eggs. As soon as I stopped these products he start to gain little by little and when I look at him know he looks like a total new boy in my eyes because he is know in the 50th percent tile.

Don't worry about it, as long as she is happy, heathy, and meeting all of her milstones I wouldn't worry about... as for going to the Dr.s office, it wont hurt to be up to date with her weight and maken sure she isn't falling behind but don't let them scare you!!! My DD, which was a preemie so i lil diffrent, is 18 months old and just hit 20 lbs... she is in the 10th percentail for her corrective age and lower than 5 in her birth age but she does everythiing she is supposed to and is heathy!!! I also think teething will affect weight gain aswell... sometimes their lil gums hurt so much that they don't want to suck on their bottles. One thing I tried with my daughter was try some cooler milk then warmed up milk, when she was teething she wouldn't take warmed up milk at all!!! Don't worry everything will be fine!

firstly don't stress - easier said than done i know, if she's healthy and happy in every other way you must be getting something right! i did find that during times when he was teething really bad, my son would lose appetite and so gain less weight. For fear of being shot down, do you think she might like some 1st stage foods, both my boys seemed hungry all the time so with my doctors knowledge both started eating at about 8 weeks, worth a thought
