Sick of people judging peoples age on there looks

My (step) daughter is almost 7... I am 23. I get the looks that say "you had a baby at 16?!?!" ALL the time. I ignore them and continue on my business. They have no right to judge me based on what they think happenned in my past.



I also get a lot of looks directed my way because I have 3 children total (last 2 are my bio kids) and I look so young (I have been told that I look around 19 or 20).



Just don't worry about people who judge based on what you look like. It has nothing to do with whether you are a good mom or not. They are just judgemental people and you shouldn't worry one bit.

don't worry about it! my husband and i both get the looks too (my son is 9 months), i'm almost 28. i just stare back and laugh, some people never stop "judging a book by it's cover". the funniest thing to me is that both of my grandmothers were pregnant at 17, before marriage (gasp) and hid it, it was sooo common back then but just wasn't talked about, and it's those same ladies passing judgement today.

ohh yes i know exactly what you mean! i'm 23 and i have a 14 month old and an almost 2 wk old. when i was pregnant and out with my son the looks i would get were rediculous. they'd stare at my belly then my face and keep doing it. it got to the pt where i just ignored it. actually yest my sis and i were walking to get a coffee (she's due in a wk) and i had both my boys in a double stroller. a bunch of guys in a car drive by and one sticks his head out and yells omg you have two babies and your pregnant! and my sis is 27...lol...

Sometimes i think it would easier if i just wore a sign with my age or something, I even get double looks for my car cause it isn't a "typical" girl car. I've been told to leave a bottle shop cause i left my id at home when i walked in with a friend even though i wasn't getting anything.

I had the same problem after I had my daughter some lady asked my mom if I should be holding the baby, my mom responded with, she should its her baby. I guess if I were you I wouldnt be ashamed, Id make them feel stupid and walk up and ask if they want to see your ID. I still get looks and Im 26, I get carded all the time, my husband thinks its hilarious. but I figure its annoying now, but later ill be glad i look younger.

unfortunately its the way it is these days. everyone is judgemental. i had mine at 18 nearly 19 and i got plenty of comments and after the baby was born too. just tell those people you already have 5 kids so you know just how to look after a baby, or say anything that will shut them up and make them not want to talk to you

I've had bright purple, blue, blue/black hair and now have just black but i got looks when i had it but i got alot of nice comments about it too so it didn't seem as bad.

try having pink hair , 21 and 7 mos prego, they totally bypass staring and tell ya straight out i should do my child a favor and give it up for adoption/ your not gonna be a good mother..i acted like i was deaf or i would lay into them a verbal assult lol

Well least i'm not the only one. The young look runs in the family my aunty is about 35 with 6 kids but she looks mid 20's. Also doesn't help that my partner looks older then his age even though there is only a month between our ages.

ha I know exactly how you feel! I was 20, but looked more like I was 16, when i had my first son, Lane, and everywhere i went people would stop and stare. I remember these two old ladies who were in front of me in line turned and looked at me and then whispered to each other about how ashamed i should be, only being 15 years old and pregnant. It really bothered me, but i just learned to ignore it....i figured people were still going to look after the baby was born too. I'm 22 now and had my second son Caden in april and it was pretty much the same thing over again, hahaha.
