I never boiled by baby's bottles or sippy cups. I wash them all by hand in HOT water and antibacterial dish soap. Never had an issue yet. I also rise them in HOT water right after use as well.

you really dont want to go crazy sterlizing or boiling because it takes the germs that they need to build their immune system away.just simply waashing them with dishes will be fine

The best sippy cup I've ever used was found at Wal Mart (when I used to shop there, now I'm banning, long story) for $1.50. I stocked up. It's called splatter cup, or something like that. Doesn't leak. No stopper to clean.

The only thing in sippy cups I ever boiled was the spill stopper because even the dishwasher didn't always get them clean. Also I always made sure to buy a kind that I could get replacement spill stoppers for and checked out how easy they were to clean. I bought Gerber cups and even though they were easy to keep clean the spill stopper would come out sometimes and that gets messy. You should let me know how the Avent cups work.

I also use the dishwasher for all my sons bottles ans sippy cups. The main thing you want to make sure of when choosing which bottle or sippy to use for your child is that it is BPA free. That's a chemical that is released when the cup or bottled is heated and it is harmful to babies.

I do the same dishwasher works. Did it with my 1st who is 4 and she made it, so I figured it would work for #2 ;)
