when is it best to change to sippy cup even for milk, my son is 10 months and he has his milk in a bottle and his juice in a sippy cup i was wondering when is it best to change only sippy cup for everything he drinks...

If he has taken juice in a sippy cup then you might want to cut the bottle all together. Maybe just the bottle at night before bed. I used the soft tipped cups before going to the hard tipped sippy cups and it worked. I have three kids and I tried to get them off the bottle before their first birthdays..

I did it when I started weaning my daughter from formula at 11 months. She never had formula in a sippy until I started mixing it with milk. All I did was gradually replace a bottle with a sippy. I did the mid morning bottle then a week later the afternoon bottle turned into a cup then the next week the morning bottle went then then bed time bottle just disappeared and we stop giving cups an hour before bed time.

My daughter took her sippy during the day and a bottle of milk at night until she was 18 months old. At that point she understood when I said milk comes in a sippy at night or she doesnt get it. lol. It worked the first night. My doctor said as long as you cut back on the bottle and they are completely off of it by 2 that it is okay to let them have it as a security to themselves

Whenever you feel he's ready, he'll be ready. My son refused to drink his milk out of a sippy cup until he was almost a year old! He felt it was strictly for his juice and refused to intertwine the two. I'd say give it a try and see if he likes it, if not, stick with what he likes until he feels more comfortable with it. Once we transferred the milk into the sippy cup and our son was OK with it, he stopped drinking from a bottle.

Whenever you think he's ready. Go ahead and try the milk in a sippy cup and see if he'll take it. My daughter refused to take her formula from a sippy cup and I didn't get her off the bottle until we were totally done with formula (I was hoping to use next-step formula for a while after she was one but didn't want the bottle that long, so got rid of formula with bottle). If he takes it fine from a sippy cup just start using that instead of bottles :)
