Is there anyone out there that has a newborn that is up every two hours to nurse at night? I have a 3 week old that eats every two hours on the dot, I'm really lucky if I get a 3 hour run of sleep. My first baby was the same way and I just wonder if I'm the only one out there not sleeping???

mine was the same at that age must be the breastfeeding. she started sleeping a little better from around 6-7 weeks old. she is 4 months now & back to waking at all hours due to teething.

that is exactly how my daughter was when she was that old even during the day it was every 2 hours. all a can say is nap when she naps thats the only way you'll get a decent amount of sleep

it is very common...as your baby learns to eat more it will sleep longer. perhaps massaging the bottom of babies feet as it nurses will help keep it awake to nurse longer and fill that tank more...but it may take time...sleep deprivation is part of the game...perhaps you could work on pumping some milk and give dad a few of those during the night feedings...all the best

I'd say that's pretty normal. My son is 9 months now and sleeps the full 12 hours now, but when he was that age he woke up every 2-3 hours. Breast milk is thinner than formula, so they need to eat more often if you're nursing. It will get better!!
