Are you sure? Yes | No Asked by You (1 minute ago) (no moms have helped yet)

My daughter is almost 10 months old and she is still waking up 2 times a night for a bottle. I've tried breaking her of this by letting her cry it out but she can cry for hours until she gets the bottle. I've also tried giving her food right before she goes to bed but she still wakes up twice. any suggestions on how to break her.

i found that with my youngest son that if he didnt have a nap in the afternoon he would go all night without waking for a bottle, i would make sure he had a nap just before his lunch he would b fine even at 10 months he was only having one nap a day and i found it alot easier to get him to bed i would give him warm milk then he would go to bed from about 7.30 and is there all night, if your daughter can go without an afternoon nap try it, she will get a temper at first as she is tired but as long as she is kept busy they soon forget that they are tired.

My son didn't sleep through the night until 11 months or so. He was waking up once a night and I would feed him because it was just easier to quickly feed him and go back to bed. I started to cut down the amount of his bottle to only about 3-4 ounces and he would take that little amount and go back to sleep. We also moved at this time and he was now in a new room by himself that he needed to get used to for about 2 weeks. During those 2 weeks we also switched to milk instead of formula since he was almost 1 yr and then somehow he just decided to start sleeping all night after maybe 2 days of crying with no bottle.

Hello,

Try give her a bath with bath time bubble to make her sleepy. feed before bedtime sometime not good because cause stomach sore. Give bottle of milk, usually make full... Also i notice one of mother suggest leave bottle in crib, NEVER DO THAT. can cause bad habit and cavity in teeth.. not good.

Yeah she eats alot during the day. And she isnt eveneating baby food anymore all she'll eat is the toddler food. I've tried the rice in the bottle she just throws it across the room. She naps about 11am for about an hour to an hour and half and then around 2:30-3 for another hour.I'll feed her one of those gerber toddler meals and 8oz of bottle right before bed. And were on the same routine everyday. I also dont pick her up when she wakes up, if she needs her diaper changed i'll just drop the side of the crib and change her there. And I'm not waking her up at all. I try as little to go in there as possible. I've tried just water in the bottle and she'll drink it with no problem, she doesnt mind water.

We would leave a sippy cup of water in my lil guys crib a long with 4 soothers. We placed a soother in each corner so he could always find one. Worked like a charm for us!

I would have to agree with putting water (not juice) in the bottle. You can even leave the bottle in the crib and go back to sleep yourself. Does she use a cup during the day? As soon as we took bottles away from our daughter (at 1 year) she stopped waking up. She still occasionally wakes up if she needs her pacifier in the middle of the night, but as soon as we retrieve it she is back to sleep.

We have two daughters 2 years and 1 year old. Our two year slept through the night at a mer 3 days old! No kidding, she never wakes up during the night even when her little sister is screaming at the top of her lungs, and they share the same bedroom. On the other hand my one year old has never, let me repeat this she has NEVER slept through the night! I used to get up three and four times a night to sooth her. Then I realized I wasn't helping the situation by answering to her every time she cried. I have let her self sooth for the last three months and it is just starting to show results. When I put her to bed at 8:30 pm I just place a water bottle in her crib where she get to it easily. She still wakes at least twice every night but her crying only last for a minute now. You have to remember that it has been 10 months of your daughter waking to feed every night, a solution will not come in just one night or even two. If it took you 10 months to get here, it could take up to 10 months to teach her to sleep properly. Have patience and stick with it, and you will succeed.

My 9 month old son does the same thing! I asked the pediatrician for some advice and she said try giving him water in the middle of the night through his bottle. She said that soon enough he won't be needing to get up and eat! I have been trying it and it's been ok. You could try and see if it works for you!

Hello-
Does your little one do this every night or just some nights like when she is woke up or sick? My 10 month old did that so I ask my Ped and he said that they are able to go all night with out eating. That as long as they are eating the right thing and not a lot of junk before bed. And I have a 2 yr old and I know that she was getting some junk so I just cute that out and made sure she ate before she went to bed (like a snack) and she does really well now. She only gets up if she is sick. I feed my little girl apple sauce or even a bottle with cereal in it that is her favorite!!
So good luck and I hope she starts sleeping through the night for you!!
Take Care

Well thats good I know my daughter ate way more than i thought she would need but I think its their little bodies growing so much. Since its pasta it should stay with her for a while but maybe if you try something like oatmeal that takes a while to digest. sometimes it would take my daughter one of those whole toddler meals to fill her up. We would laugh because she would eat one of those whole chef boyardee things when she was that age, she would go through spurts of eating a lot and then a little..

Yeah she'll eat a whole container of those toddler meals like the pasta pickups or something like that.
