My son is nine months old, and he still does not sleep all through the night yet. I've continued the routine by giving him a bath and bottle as a signal to him that its going to be bedtime soon. But I still have to wake up in the middle of the night to nurse him back to sleep. I've even tried putting a little cereal in his bottle before bedtime. Any suggestions???

well, doctors say that they don't need that late night feeding after like 6 months I believe. So, he is just doing it for comfort. If you'd like, you could drop the feeding...but some might say that they are onnly this little for a short while and to cherish it. But, if you need to sleep (for work, other children, etc) then when he wakes up let him fuss a bit and see if he goes back to sleep on his own. Who knows, maybe your just getting to him too quickly without giving him a chance to lull himself back to sleep?

My baby girl is 12 months old and she was sleeping through since about 4 months's old, only when she's teething she wake's up during the night. I only give her, her bottle then she sleeps further. Just hang in there, the time will come.

my son actually barely started sleeping through the night and he just turned three.. other people always told me he would start sleeping through the night once he turned one but didnt at all.. so dont worry too much she'll get there hopefully sooner in your case cause three is way too old lol

I swear you think one night it will be a miracle and they will sleep all through the night. Mine is 18 mons. and still wakes up once or twice. But, it is so much easier now. They go through stages. and doc. said even 1 year olds can become the worst sleepers. I did the same things you did. Try a sound machine in his room or run a humidifier. I couldn't and still don't let her cry it out. I just can't. Try stopping feeding him at night. I think I just stopped at 6 mons. Hey if you got a tasty snack in the middle of the night wouldn't you wake up for it? Good luck.

Hello my LO is 5 months old. she used to sleep through the night but the last month or so she has started to wakw through the night again. Their needs are constantly changing and they will sleep through the night when they are ready to do so. Just keep up with the routines and eventually he should sleep through the night.
