My son has always been a great sleeper...he sleeps all night. But for the last month or so he wakes up a lot and he wakes up much earlier then he used too. It all started when he learned to climb out of his crib...being almost 3 we went and ahead and got him into a big boy bed. It's just frustrating getting woke up in the middle of the night like I have an infant...help please.

We did a double gate for about five months, one on top of the other so that they couldn't leave the room. There were several morning that they we asleep at the door but eventually they stopped trying to leave the room and have been great sleepers since. If you are not okay with that try making a small space for him to sleep on the floor in your room so that he knows if he wakes up he can sleep there. Then you or your husband can carry him back later. It worked with my third, he was sleeping on a small 'camper' bed for several months then he just stopped. I wasn't getting woke in the middle of the night and he had a place to go when he woke.

We had a similiar situation when my son began sleeping in a big boy bed. We stopped him by putting up a baby gate in his door frame. Once he bumped into it, he would go back to bed...it lasted until he figured out that he could climb over it. We started giving him Melatonin based on his pediatrician's recommendation. He slept more soundly and after a while we stopped the Melatonin. By then, it was just a habit for him to stay asleep all night.

mine wake up at 6am, everyday no matter how late I put them down, And that will not change. Maybe he isnt eating enough. they sleep better on a full tummy.
