Ok my 15 week old baby boy spits up on average 4 times a day. Why is this happening so much and how can i prevent it from happening so much?

My son spit up way more than that! He went through 16 bibs a day, easily! I was doing so much laundry to keep up with him. My dr. said some babies spit up more than others, but that it was normal. My son was good for weight and height, even in the 75th for both for the months he was spitting up the most. I tried switching formula and as my dr. had told me, it didn't do any thing. Just know that it will eventually pass. My son's spitting up slowed around 7 1/2 months. He is now almost 11 months, he spits up a few times a week, but that is much better than the 20 times a day he was sitting up.

What I am trying to say is, some babies spit up, but it is just the way their body works.

My b/g twins were born six weeks early, at 33 weeks 6 days, and they spit up a lot. We tried a bunch of different formula, including soy to see if they were lactose intolerant, but we ended up using Enfamil AR. It has a bit of added rice in the formula so it helps the milk stick to their stomach. They didn't spit up nearly as much with that as they did all the other formulas.

The pediatrician that was seeing them at the time told us it was because they were early, and their digestive system wasn't formed all the way yet, but we didn't believe that so we did the formula change and it ended up working wonders.
