Stay at home mom in a rut, please help!

I stay at home with my daughters, Brooklyn 4 1/2 yrs old & Lila 14mths. I also watch 2 other children for income. It seems like Brooklyn has been acting out a lot lately, I do pre-school projects & activities, we walk to the park. I just think I need some new ideas. I also feel like I don't give Lila enough baby activities. Please let me know if you have any activities or daily routines that you feel inspires your children.

Hi Amanda, I am a stay at home mom who has a daycare too! I went thru the same thing with my older daughter that you are going thru with your 4.5 year old. At the end of the day, after the daycare kids leave I spend some one on one time with her doing things that she loves (board games, stories, helping me cook etc) I think for me that when I am watching my kids and others kids my kids(more my older daughter) sometimes felt like they needed to compete a little for my attention. The one on one always does the trick.

My David is 3 an since he was a baby he has loved painting - get a big roll of paper out in the garden get their hands, feet, arms knees all covered in paint and let them get to work. They will love it all ages!!!
