I've found that they just fade and shrink after a while. During my first pregnancy, I got enormous stretch marks on my hips, and I'd say by the time we were 3 years out, they'd faded and shrunk to the point that they're really not noticeable. They didn't even come back or get worse during my second pregnancy, which was about 5 years after the first.

So basically, it's both good and bad news. The bad news is that you can't really get rid of them, but the good news is that they pretty much go away on their own. Sure, they're still there somewhat, but it's never kept me out of a swimsuit. Just try to be patient! They'll fade!

you can get vitamin E at any pharmacy, it has worked for me as far as fading goes, but there is no way to prevent stretch marks, unfortunately...

Self-tan lotion works good to hide them! Temporary fix I guess...

I am the same way i gained 40 lbs with my daughter, and had really bad strech marks. I have always heard that you cant really get rid of your strech marks but you can make them less noticable. I used vitamin E oil. It helped to lighten them, and then i tanned during the summer time. This helped the most for me.

Good to hear the Avon Cream works, now that I am an Avon Rep LOL. I was going to say, alot of Dr.s recommend Mederma, I wish I knew if it works, but it has a lot of great feedback and it's available over the counter.

I used a lotion from Avon -- it cost me roughly $8, it's thick and kinda 'greasy' feeling but absorbs within an hour or so. It DOES work!! My stretch marks were HORRIBLE! I gained close to 70 pounds! Went from a size B to a DD; my fingertips couldn't even touch when reached around my belly. They no longer sell the same exact lotion that I had purchased; however offer a very similar one that has the same ingredients in it! Anew Clinical Professional Stretch Mark Smoother.
Also, I use Avon Solutions Bust Sculpt Contouring Cream.
Anyone in disbelief, I'll send pictures as proof! I'm not a salesperson for Avon, just picked up a book from the grocery store, they were having a sale, figure eh why not try??!! Well, it worked for me!!!

all you can really do is wait for them to fade sorry hun!!! you can use reti a if your not breastfeeding but if its been more then six weeks since the strech mark has developed it wont work! The best we can do is just love our war wounds!!!

I'm the same way! I didn't gain any weight until I was 7 months along, and then I gained a lot really quickly. My daughter was 10lbs 4 oz and is now 4 months old. My stretch marks are starting to fade, but I'm worried I'll never be able to show my stomach again unless I get a tummy tuck or something later, lol.

I got them on my boobies but they have faded so much now that you can barely see them, look at your family do they have visible stretch marks or did they fade..that will give u a good idea of what yours will do. Tj has stretch marks on his back from where he grew a lot at once in middle school and others on his arms from his arm muscles growing and his still look a lot whiter than the rest of his skin and are pretty visible where mine just faded away into my paleness LOL

Unfortunately you can't get rid of stretch marks. Your better off saving your money because none of those lotions or creams work. I used all kinds of stuff throughout my whole pregnancy and it didn't make any bit of a difference. The good news is that they will fade on their own over time. By the time my son was 6 months old my stretch marks faded to white instead of the horrible blood red they started out to be. I don't think they will ever completely disappear though.
