I am currently 34 weeks pregnant with my second baby (a boy). I am carrying him lower then my first (girl) and I seem to be getting more / darker stretch marks with this baby. Has anyone found any creams / oils that actually work to get rid of stretch marks? Thanks!

To be honest I have/had the worst stretch marks from my pregnancy. They were deep purple and every where from my arms to the backs of my knees. I didn't find this until I was eight months pregnant, BUT IT WORKS!!!! I use lavender essential oil with a mix of Palmer's Oil for stretch marks and itching. Plus vitamin E helps a lot. My skin is almost back to normal but it has taken about 8 months. I hope that helps.

I have tried Bio Oil and it does work, but you have to use it like everyday, it smells really nice, mine are almost gone, I'm too embarrassed to wear bikini's now because of them.

Bio oil is amazing!
I had alot of stretch marks from my three children, after using bio oil for a few months they were MUCH less noticable.
I'm now nearly 37 weeks with my fourth child and I've been using it through my pregnancy and so far I haven't gotten any new stretch marks.

I use Avons Anew Clinical stretch mark cream its great!!! I used it after my son and it worked great.

I used Palmers Stretchmark cream with Cocoa butter and it didn't work. I have tons of stretchmarks from my daughter I was tiny when I got pregnant and gained just over 50lbs. It says to use it during your pregnancy but that didn't seem to help but it also says it lightens the appearance of stretchmarks which it has been doing. So good luck I found the posts about Clarins Body Treatment Oil interesting and may give that a try. Hope you find something that helps!

Rosehip oil is really good. but if you get pregnent again - preventing them is much easier than treating them afterwoods. they're usually caused by deficiencies in zinc an vit e, so make sure you have a good quality prenatal suppliment and eat really healthly.

Hey, I have tried everything and the only thing I found that really works is BioOil. It's about $10 a bottle. Put it on the strech marks twice a day, preferably right after a shower. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and my hubby says he aleady notices a difference. Good luck and congratulations!!

Hi, I used Clarins Body Treatment Oil, it's not the cheapest but I only ended up with one small stretch mark on my tummy nr my belly button about 1cm long, look on eBay to find it cheaper, you just put it on in the shower. Hope it helps and good luck with you lil boy! xx
