one of my little sister's is named Alida (ah-lee-da). It is latin for "little angel" or "little winged one". We are Croatian and have always referred to her name as meaning little angel.

I have two daughters, Scarlett Aurora and Bellarose. It took me until I actually saw them for the first time to pick a name. I had several in mind, Victoria, Audra, Isabella... A lot of people disagreed with the names I chose, but I think it's very special and what matters is how you feel about it when you see her and get to hold her for the first time, her name will be perfect for her.

My sister n law choose Sawyer for her daughter, Gavin for her first son and Ian for her second son.

My sister choose Faith Lillian for her only child and my other sister chose Alexander Sabastian for her first son , Syrus for her second son and Gabriel for her last son. My husband and I choose Audrey Alexis, Emily Katherine and Grace Lillian for our 3 girls.



I feel all parents choose what they think is a good name for their kids. WE might not ever agree that it was a wise choice, but in the end its their child.

We called our daughter Ellianna and she is turning into a super girly girl and seems to really suit her name. We wanted a name we liked all the abbreviations of and chose the name because it means "God has answered" and we thought it was a really powerful thing to know you were an answer to prayer!

Choosing a girls name is very hard!! My girls names are Alana and Kailah. I liked the names Lilah and Gianna. You can always choose a name and make it your own with spelling. It was always fun for me being pregnant and havin dinner with family and friends and just having a fun time thinking of names :) enjoy your little girl!!

I also love the girly names. I named my girl Lillianna and can see from this post that it or a variation are quite popular but i still think its a beautiful name. if i have another girl I plan on using either Gabriella or Annabelle. (I seem to have a thing for double letters in names...)

My name is 'J'selle Claudia' and i have always appreciated that my name is unique. We were going to name our son if he was a girl 'Zephyr Estelle' but he was a little man but i still love the name. Zephyr means 'west wind' and Estelle means 'star'

When you find the right name, you will know it. Write them down and see how they look written. My first daughter's name is Jocelyn Paige. I felt (and still do feel) like Jocelyn is a beautiful name for a little girl. My second daughter I felt was harder to name because I had already used the mist beautiful girl name I could think of! LOL, but we named her Reagan Olivia, and I love her name just as much. Then there's my name--Brooke, which I like and I have never met another Brooke (although I have heard of some and have friends who have other friends with my name) in my 31 years of life. Good luck! My girls are Lilly Michelle (named for her great, great, great grandmother), Juliette Rose (which we ALWAYS get compliments on the beauty of her name), and Kyrra Rayne (pronounced like Kira Rain).

I've also always loved the names Veronia, Athena, Jade, and Annabelle. Good luck with the names. We've always had the hardest times picking our girls' names.

My daughters name is Leila Isabella. She is 2 1/2 years old and every time i say her name i think its so pretty. Sometimes people ask if her name is pronounced Leela, but its pronounced like the spelling "layla"

We named our little baby girl Violet Beverly-Ann. We loved it, thought it was very girly, and everyone we tell it to gives us a great response. Its not to popular either. I have never met anyone with the name. I know it was 59th in the top 100 names for 2011. But we did not know that when we had her, and I still have not run into anyone with it. hope it helps. My youngest is Athena-Vesta we choose her name from Greek mythology. Athena means unknown, she was also Zeus' daughter which no mother bore her she sprang from his head. Vesta is the Roman Version of Hestia which means "hearth, fireside", she was Zeus' sister. We thought it was different and beautiful.

I've always liked Belle, meaning beautiful, Also the name of the famous princess from beauty and the beast (which was a beautiful classic fairy tale well before disney commercialised it) couldn't use it as my childrens last name is Bennett, Belle Bennett just doesn't sound right to me.

Zahara-spin on Sahara (desert)



Madeira (island off or portugal where my inlaws are from and really wanted. Correctly pronounced ma-dth-ay-ra.



The names are cultural because I'm Mexican/Iraqi and my husband's family is Portuguese/French/American.

I've always liked the name Luca, for a boy or girl but when i had my son was not allowed to name him that! So when we found out we were having a girl we named her Louka Christina Lillian, Lou for short. Luca is becoming a common name now days but i like the fact that we spelled it the way it sounds, and love the name Lou too.

I named my daughter Zoe because I find it to be unique and pronounced in both Spanish and English which was a non negotiable for me due to having family members whom only speak Spanish. This was the one name that my husband and I seemed to only agree on, I did ensure I found a name we both liked and agreed on, I had a few other names and he did not like any of them but this one. So Zoe it was plus it was my 1st pick :) Good luck maybe you should continue your search write them down and present them to him and decide if it is something he will hold against you if you decide on it without his acknowledgement or does he feel that he needs a say in it to?
